There are no statements that Gov. Lingle has ever seen Jr’s original birth documents, in fact quite the opposite. The head of the Dept of Health in HI said she has checked that documents are on file for Jr. but that Gov. Lingle has not, nor will she see the files! The word was originally posted that Gov. Lingle had ordered the files sealed but that was incorrect!(story appeared in World Net Daily) Even the story about the Dept of Health confirming Jr was born in HI was false! The first sentence in the article was written by a reporter but was not what the head of the Dept said! It was a sneaky case of semantics when the head of the Dept confirmed there were records on file with the HI Dept of Health. She did NOT say that the records confirm Jr was born in HI! In accordance with the Dept of Health at the time when Jr was born, he could have been born off island but have been given a HI birth certificate if he was registered and it was confirmed his mother was a resident of the island.
On the point of Sara (Obama’s step grandmother) saying she and some of his family were present during his birth in Kenya, that story originally appeared at the website
USAfricaonline and was posted by a Freeper here, the same website on which the “Kenyan born” graphic appeared. Once the link was posted people began going to it only to discover that suddenly the “linky no worky”. A few minutes later the link once again worked but the story had been reworded to remove any mention of Sara’s testimony! Now the only thing to be found at the link is the “Kenyan born” graphic. The original post with the story appeared at Free Republic back in April or May. This is not the first incidence of a website suddenly being scrubbed nor will it be the last! I am sure over the next four years many websites will go under on one pretense or another, while journalists practise their sloppy journalism! As a case in point take a look at the story published by “The Honolulu Advertiser” regarding the birth announcement address. They didn’t even print the correct date under their scan of the page where the birth announcement appeared!

There are more problems with their story which I won’t even go into at the moment, but you can read my rebuttal below that post.
Many dedicated Freepers have spent hours on different parts of the Obama story and Polarik shared his work on seperate blogs and here at FR. At one time the scans of the C.O.L.B. were bigger with much more clarity but were reduced in size. The same can be said of the photos at Factcheck. Polarik has written about the images at all the spots and had to recheck once Factcheck posted new images August 21 (after Jr came back from a visit to Hawaii!) You need to do your homework before you start criticising!
You're not going to believe this one, but guess who made the following statement on Nov 1: "The director of Hawaii’s Department of Health confirmed Oct. 31 that Obama was born in Honolulu."
