I was looking for a precedent, since I didn’t know if the issue had ever been settled.
Ohio was retro-actively admitted to the Union in 1953 because the formal procedure for admission was not followed back in 1803 when Ohio’s boundaries were “officially recognized”. Several presidents were born in Ohio between 1803 & 1953. I believe that 1 of them was legally challenged due to the technical oversight. Can’t say which.
