As I've said before, I believe it's a picture of Obama's arrival in Hawaii in 1959, amid some fanfare, in the first wave of the Kenya airlift of students. Stanley did move to Hawaii ahead of Ann's graduation in 1960, and that does look like him -- which would put the lie to the story of Ann Dunham meeting him first at UH, and Stanley not knowing who he was when Ann brought him home to dinner (yet another "Dream" scene taken from a movie).
If that is Janice Okuba, she may have been part of the effort to pay his airfare to the states, or get him a scholarship at UH.
It would also answer the question in my mind about what Obama wrote in his book. He said Obama Sr. called home (Kenya) asking for help because Stanley Dunham threatened to have Obama Sr. thrown out of Harvard.
I was wondering why Stanley didn’t follow through on that. Most Dad’s would. Well, short of administering intense pain to the man that did that to their daughter, that is.
