This jumped out at me too--and I've not been particularly fixated on the birth certificate story. Knowing how clinton loves his oblique word games, the particular phraseology does get the antennae going doesn't it?--particularly when coupled with his reply to the question about regrets over the campaign. Yes, he says. He does have regrets, but clarifies, saying they're not the things you might think. Then: "There are things I wish Id urged her to do... This is very specific, not a general wistfulness. And seeing the footage, you can tell he's struggling to hold back. He's dying to spill his guts. It has the ring of regret for not playing certain cards they had. Whether it's the birth certificate or not, they've got something.
THat phrase hit me too. Something may be up. What he did was diss Obama, why would he do that? Sour grapes? I doubt it. He feels free to diss him. I swear, I am not a cospiracy sort of person, but something smells rotten with that statement.
In FACT- he alluded to the Constitution twice in the interview. I turned on ABC Nightline last night to hear the full interview- unfortunately I drifted off a bit but heard him discuss constitutional requirments TWICE in the interview. I guess it’s time to go over to ABC and dig up the transcript- it must be online by now.
Something’s up.
I remember Hillary Clinton saying something similar, back in February?, along the lines as B.O. not being electable.
