Btw, Gerald Ford was never elected. He was a Republican, chose Nelson Rockefeller to serve as VP, then Dole as a running mate, but his mother was never a Communist radical cavorting with foreigners, as far as we can tell.

Oh, and he did lose to Jimmy Carter.

If there is a Martian Time Travel explanation for Obama's 57 states theory or esoteric monkey-god idol connection, we would like to hear it. What would a President appointed by the monkey god be like?

The trick is that in the future Canadian provinces will be brought into the Union, yet Quebec will become an independent nation.

I think that adds up to 57 states and one monstrous territory in the far North.

The Hanumon trinket (called the monkey god) is his "key back to the future". Without it he will be stuck here for the rest of his life. You'd better believe he hangs onto that thing.

Ford was elected by more votes than most Presidents ever received.

Remember, the electors elect Presidents. Ford was the right man in the right place to be chosen as Vice President by the House. The 25th Amendment states: "2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
