Per your request and cringes as I hit post, but at this point our own conjecture seems as good as any “facts” that have been presented.
If, if his entire past was created they did a lousy job of it. It is messy. IF there is a conspiracy to get him into the Presidency his past is just too messy to get him there. So, no I don’t think there is a conspiratorial past.
But...and this is where I am leaning he may have had a more than difficult childhood. Jerked around all over the globe, placed in questionable schools, and finally grandparents who took custody of him because of his rocky life.
It is not unusual for children in dysfunctional situations to create an alternate past. Sometimes they a pretty darn clever in what they create and other times the lies eventually catch up with them. And then they finally decide to get mental health help to cope/resolve the issues.
The more and more I read, think, and consider this murky past it seems he is the product of a liberal dysfunctional family life. Born at a time when mixed marriages would be scorned, children of the mixes disowned by the families(even liberal families were embarrassed). Things may very well be misquoted and misplaced as Obama doesn’t want to recall his past accurately, it may be just too painful.
Now he wants to be President; as the public continues to question the dates, associations, and accuracy the bill is coming due. Bush had to deal with his alcoholic past and in these times of interent researchers and joe public having the ablity to question and compare like never before this puts great pressure on candidates. One coping mechanism is ignore the accusations, which is appears to be what the Obama campaign is doing.
Obama’s white grandmother is kept from the public. Why? She could be ill, etc. or she knows the truth of Obama’s dysfunction. Ultimately neglected by two fathers, abandoned by Ann, and who knows how he was really raised by his white grandparents? We are led to believe they were kind, generous etc., but we really don’t know—do we? She brought him home from Indonesia and dumped him on her parents. She took Maya back with her, but left Barry behind. OMG...WHY?
Lots of ideas run through my mind. Thinking back to what an 18 years old pregnant teenager might do with a black baby by a foreigner might do. In 1961 that would be a bombshell! How easily swayed by the father’s words/promises, etc. Angry parents would drive her away and into his arms. My family would have disowned me. Remember, Obama doesn’t even want to look too closely at these details, why?
Yes, crazy conspiracy theories and all I think they went to Kenya in the spring of 1961. Obama Sr. and a crazy 18 yr. old American girl spent summer break in Kenya. Ann never realizing the citizenship of her son was at risk, enamored with the rebirth of the Kenyan nation. She comes home and tells the authorities...whatever... to get him a BC. His birth is never recorded in Kenya except in the minds of his Kenyan family. No records except memories. And Ann’s secret goes with her to the grave.

Barack Obama has constructed himself. He is a smart, engaging, and complex man. That’s how and why he’s gotten as far as he did. The constructed Obama is the man in “Dreams of My Father” and as such, the mystery is right there IN PLAIN SIGHT. it’s there in plain sight in what Barack Obama did in going to Trinity UCC and calling Rev Jeremiah Wright a “mentor” (his substitute “Father”).
Barack Obama adopted Black Liberation Theology and Rev Wright as his own way of getting to his “roots”.

The answer is in plain sight. Obama was born in Honolulu to an 18-year-old enamored of a black exchange student, who apparently had another wife back home. Once Obama Sr was done with studies, he decamped and left Mom and baby in Hawaii. That’s a shameful and awkward enough set of circumstances, and you cant just ask “mom, why did Dad leave you?” The idea that Obama Sr would take his ‘wife’ to Kenya is ludicrous. It never happened, and certainly not when Barack obama was about to be born.
We keep looking form some hidden bombshell when the real bombshell, that a man wholly unqualified to be President is the nominee, is the real story.
