You know, P-J, I covered this issue a couple of weeks ago somewhere else.
The primitives on Skins’s island have been moaning and groaning and bellyaching for some time now, about the high cost of groceries and gasoline.
The retail price of groceries and gasoline have multiplied circa 3 times since 1981, the last time I bought marijuana.
In 1981, I paid $10 for a one-ounce baggie of marijuana.
I guess the price now, for the same-sized bag of marijuana, is circa $160-175, at least a 16x increase.
Groceries and gasoline up 3x.
Marijuana up at least 16x.
However, one looks in vain on Skins’s island, for bonfires started by primitives complaining about the high price of dope, and the excess windfall profits of the marijuana industry.
I can’t figure it out, but maybe it’s just me.
The people who complain loudest about the cost of a gallon of gas at $3.75 are willing to pay $15 a gallon for “designer water” in a tiny bottle, when I can drink out of the tap for free.
