The question was a serious one and thankfully I was able to get fairly reasonable answers from the decent bloggers. Forgive me if I've posted in the wrong forum - perhaps you could guide me to the correct one?
I'm not a sour, selfish American, just a practical thinker finally coming of age where I'm starting to realize the importance of knowing how our government works. And yes, I am starting to wonder where my hard earned tax dollars are going and why my social class is shrinking.
It seems puzzling to me why most Americans, seemingly, don't understand or care that our government doesn't seem of sound practice (a trillion dollar debt?), and more importantly, why we let it happen.
