“I am hoping that most conservatives will be soured by this backroom political action that reeks of collusion and manipulation...and that it will backfire on them as conservatives vote against it...today.

I think it was great strategy. This is a battle. Mitt got
skunked, outmaneuvered and outflanked in WV! He apparently
isn’t as smart as we’ve been led to believe.

It was clearly a winning strategy. These delegates will ultiamtely go to McCain. Romney is now clearly campaigning against both McCain and Huckabee together.

Out in the open now. There was nothing Romney could have done about it...one way or the other.

I am hoping that it backfires on McCain because it reeks of backroom deals, manipulation, and double teaming. Most conservatives will not look kindly upon it IMHO.

Outsmarted? Looks to me like two rascals agreed to not let the people's vote matter. I don't see where this takes any brains.

Outmaneuvered & outflanked? Really? What do you think Romney should have done to win this battle? Should he have compromised his principles & cut a deal w/ one of these guys? If so, what kind of a deal do you feel he should have cut? & w/ whom?

Or, he’s too honest to participate.

So, we are to be impressed by underhanded dealings and lower our opinion of the man who came in with the intent to win cleanly?

Yup. Definitely Hillary’s year then.

He was smart enough to win the election! What you expect him to do about being stabbed in the back by "conservatives" is beyond me.

Your post makes no sense at all.
