Yet, if he is the Repub's candidate, please, give me the strength to vote for him.
Yes, Senator McCain is better than Hillary and Obama, but has our country slidden so far left that we can do no better than this Bob Dole redux?
The NY Times loves him. Arnold loves him. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe love him. Talk about bad company. The past performance of John McCain as war hero does not indicate his future success as President of the United States.
Unfortunately, as a former Catholic and long time Bapticostal, I was mostly taught that Mormonism was a "cult." This undoubtedly hurt Mitt right out of the chute. The more, however, I delve into the doctrinal intricacies of some non-Mormon denominations, they could also be accused of doing some really weird things which I will not go into now. Would Romney bring these cultic(?) practices into the White House? Would hidden holy underwear be a great bother to his performance? Bill Clinton brought in a whole lot more in the form of his bacchanalian rituals which provoked incoming President Bush to fumigate and replace carpeting. Its fair to assume, though, that Clinton was a Bino - Baptist in Name Only. Could Romney, as has been taught by my fellow fundamentalists, really be Satan's representative? I think not, and the more I compare Romney with the Episcopalian turned Baptist (he has not been fully immersed, yet, which is obviously very important to Baptists) McCain, old Mitt is looking much better.
As of now, on the eve of Super Tuesday, I am in Mitt's corner, and not because of the shrill, super conservatives who have been boring me to death on talk radio with the McCain badgering.
Scariest of all - McCain has pledged to "reach across the aisle" to Democrats. What, the Dems can never reach across to Republicans? John McCain has too many negatives on immigration, taxation, freedom of speech retarded by McCain-Feingold, objections to oil drilling in Alaska, hoodwinked by the global warming scare tactic people, treating terrorists like "average American Joes" in Gitmo and elsewhere, allowing Dems to deter judicial nominees, and Clintonesque temper tantrums.
Despite his foibles, I generally have liked John McCain for his heroism and so-so conservative voting record. [I would take anyone over Hillary and Obama at this point]
Let this cup of John McCain for president pass, oh Lord. Amen.
We get it. You love your liberal Joe Isuzu Romney. You think he’s the Second Coming. You see, kid, real Conservatives don’t support lying liberals.
They both suck, and so does Huckster. Conservatives have no one to vote for in this election. None.
Agreed.
But we must keep Hillary Marxist Clinton out.
McCain is the one who can beat her.
Hillary may not get the nomination. Obama will be a bigger problem. The question is how many Conservatives won’t vote in November if McCain gets the nomination.
Yes and he will save the polar bears. /sarcasm
The question is how many Republicans wont vote if Romney is the candidate. It seems Many Conservative Republicans do not like Romney.
Many Conservatives whos faith and values come before the party do not like McCain.
Independents and many Blue Dog Demorats like McCain.
My analysis says McCain gets more votes and keeps her out as well as Barack.
80 million boomers are ready to retire and they will not trust that Barack will be the president who will defend them and assure thire social security, and health coverage.
Thats a bunch of horseshit!
Between 20/20 hindsight and historical revisionism, some folks might chose to ignore the past to make a certain GOP candidate look better. With signs of Ann Coulter off her Meds, anything is possible for her. Not Rush or Ingraham. Sean Vannity could have a serious brain fart and lose all self-control, but I think he still holds deep respect for Reagan.
For the most part, Reagan made a few bad decisions as Governor, but quickly learned from those mistakes. Reagan wasn't prone to repeating an error adn he never sold out conservatism.
Respectfully God is not running in the Primary for the Republican nomination. Leave unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. I for one cringe every time a fellow American resorts to bigoted statements to make a point while they hide under the cloak of conservatism, see liberals can get away with making such statements or they are forgiven. It is a discredit to American ideals and direct insult to conservatives who have for years have been unfairly accused of Racial politics and quite frankly of all being racists. Its difficult to have a discussion when one side counters logic with “Thats Racial” or “Your a bigot”. The problem is that just like democrats the Republicans seem to actually attract a few filled with hatred to the tent. Your better than that or you wouldn’t be posting here.
Oh Lord, you said to pray for your enemies!
So I am praying for John Mc Cain
I pray he will go to hell!!
McCain is toast, won’t hear his name after SuperTu.
The only thing McCain has going for him is that I detest him slightly less than I do Hillary. That is not a very good reason to vote for him.
Dream, Romney can go back to the Commonwealth.
While McCain runs the country.
Up to the Minute

There is no amount of money I could be paid to entice me to vote for Romney in the general election. He is a proven party-killer and unapologetic liar. If we’re going to elect a lying liberal, better to vote for the Democrat. It will probably take having a real rodent President to bitchslap this party back to reality. The scarier, the better.
C'mon, lady. He was already in a VC prison camp. I dislike McCain, but that's really over the top now.
“Render on to Caesar What is Caesars, and Render unto God what is Gods” the view of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bringing God into this and arguing His point, means you are judging in His Holy name.
That is quite a presumption, when He His Holy Self, would not bring His view into it.
These are man’s issues, whoever goes into the White House will be judged by God, for his actions.
Hey Reagan Man,
How much of this is cr*p and how much of it is spin?
You don't remember it? Heck... it wasn't ~that~ long ago was it? :-)
I see your sense of humor is out the window also. Did you at least laugh??
