A new study by scientists has suggested that zombie attacks might increase if the current projections of global warming are realized. If the earth gets warmer, it means longer springs, summers, and falls, and shorter winters, said John Carpenter-Romero, Ph.D., a zombie-ologist who co-authored the study. And shorter winters means more time for the undead to prey on the populace.
Dr. Harrister, the other co-author, and head of Zombie Robotics at Wayward Robot, Inc., explained that cold winters typically stalled the walking dead. It is well known that zombies cant operate in cold weather. It freezes their brains.
The pair calculated a 32.782412% increase in zombie attacks if CO2 increased to twice its pre-industrial rate. Clearly, this is a very troubling result, said Dr. Harrister, If we dont do something soon, the streets will be filled with blood.
I think Homer Simpson is America’s greatest living intellectual...well living in a kind of manner, sort of.
Love your tag line. Nicknamed Bob is a genius.
Mmmmm...
Now I need cookies.
I’m making a batch right now. When I’m done, they look like this (#652) But taste and smell better!
:hold still while I get the last of those ugly things off your back:
*SMACK*
There. That oughta do it!
Thanks!
I should know better than to get involved any thread having “McCain” in the title.
Which is why I mostly hang out here, unless I get pinged. Then I’m really careful, and tend to be an ostrich at the slightest indication of “trouble.”
I keep shooting my mouth off like a blow torch in a fireworks factory...
These days the most offhand remark will get sixteen immediate kneejerk replies, all antagonistic and challenging. Now and then somebody will agree with me (rare), but it’s mostly just a group of overly sensitive, jilted voters spoiling for a fight.
No thank you. I’ll stay with the zombie and cookies.
Wise choice!
We have more fun, here, anyway, and can discuss things without frothing at the mouth.
*HUG*
I suppose I should go back to work now.
It’s one of those excrutiatingly slow days... nobody’s here, and I have another hour to go.
Zzzzzzz.....
Later!
Hang in there! You know we’re here, with hot cocoa and warm cookies! (And hugs!)
Indeed he is -- and humble to boot.
It’s been pretty intense here, but suddenly work items are falling off the plate helter-skelter in every direction. Or something like that.
Well, it’s been rather unintense here. I’m fighting off the urge for a nap, after 4 pounds of barbecued carne asada. The leather couch beckoning me from 6’ away is not helping any.
I'd like the opportunity to defend myself. I have long maintained that I never take an IQ test, because that way I can accurately state that my IQ can not be measured.
Besides, I'm working on advanced degrees in "coot" and "crank" now.
So. It was YOU who ate my share....
A nap is the least you deserve!
What happened to “curmudgeon?” I thought that was your next goal?
I found out I could get a degree in that by sending in ten bucks.
Idiots. That would just prove I wasn't!
Any time you have to pay for something like that, you know it’s over-priced..
NicknamedBob defies description. In a good way, of course.
Thomas Sowell is in his 70’s, so the position of Greatest Living Intellectual will be open for new contenders, eventually.
“Besides, I’m working on advanced degrees in “coot” and “crank” now”
Coot is good. It puts me in mind of my college days. Times were hard. We were down to one servant and our limo was the oldest in the street. Our driver had long since been pensioned off. Anyway, when we got hungry we’d go down to the cottage and go coot hunting out on the ocean. Now the coot is the basic ingredient of a fine meal. You shoot a coot or two, pluck, gut (use a bread bag over your hand and simply reach into the body cavity and pull out the guts. Reverse the bag, twist tie and throw away) and place them in a ten quart pail full of water with a large brick. Place the pail over a high fire and boil off the water, repeat six times. Throw away the coot and eat the brick with lemon wedges and pita bread. MMMMMMMMMMM; good eating, good times!
Eh?
