A new study by scientists has suggested that zombie attacks might increase if the current projections of global warming are realized. If the earth gets warmer, it means longer springs, summers, and falls, and shorter winters, said John Carpenter-Romero, Ph.D., a zombie-ologist who co-authored the study. And shorter winters means more time for the undead to prey on the populace.
Dr. Harrister, the other co-author, and head of Zombie Robotics at Wayward Robot, Inc., explained that cold winters typically stalled the walking dead. It is well known that zombies cant operate in cold weather. It freezes their brains.
The pair calculated a 32.782412% increase in zombie attacks if CO2 increased to twice its pre-industrial rate. Clearly, this is a very troubling result, said Dr. Harrister, If we dont do something soon, the streets will be filled with blood.

The hotel restaurant on the top floor. You can see some of the matting that makes up the ceiling and "shades", but the overall effect is that this isn't a high-class establishment. Still, the food was good and the service excellent without being obnoxious (and they seemed to like this American!). Open air, though it meant you also saw the ramshackle construction around.
Extra bonus -- Indian ragas every morning but one. (I love ragas!)

All the buildings I was in, no matter how large or small, government or private, were “unfinished.” It seems a building is taxed only when it is “finished,” so there are gaps between the door and the frame, the window and the frame, the bathroom fittings and the pipes, etc.
And for the most part, “street sweepers” are just that: People who sweep the streets with a broom and a cart for the debris.
The “lunch wagons” even have their own hibachi in the middle of the hand- or horse-drawn cart. (Complete with umbrella.)

Interesting. The town/city in Mexico where my grandfather retired taxed a property on what could be seen from the street, so the exterior was almost always shabby however opulent (or poor) the interior.
Street sweepers here were the same.
Don't know about "lunch wagons" because I didn't see any...

A shot of the garden outside the hotel where the conference was held, during the lunch break. For me the temperature said "high summer" (for Seattle), with slightly higher humidity. For the Indians this is probably about as cool as it gets... but they're still in the shade!

And they probably all have HUGH lungs!
Several countries tax homes and other buildings on the number of rooms, so German homes don’t have closets as we know them. Since a closet is a “room,” the owners of the house buy wardrobes for the bedrooms. That way, the taxes are less.
I found the “unfinished” state of rooms in Pak to be rather disconcerting. Even stairs are not “finished.” Of course, living in America most of my life, I can say I’m “slightly” spoiled!

All of which just goes to show human ingenuity in tax avoidance — and the innate stupidity of lawmakers when it comes to making laws. (I know some of these folks and they are anything but stupid... until it comes to their collective work product.)

So it is no wonder that Jesus drove the tax collectors from the Temple...
I suspect avoiding taxes could be a “national pastime.”

Ummm... I think those driven out were "money changers." Matthew was a tax collector.
I think tax avoidance is an international pastime... *\;-)

This is also how taxes were in the old south. I went to see some of the antebellum hugh plantation homes with only 8-10 rooms. I thought Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple, but said render unto Cesar what is Cesear’s. I have been looking for George Thomas Andrew and Alexander to give them what their but I have not found them yet.

My great uncle was wealthy enough that he felt it was unnecessary to get his social security check. He tried to get them to stop sending it, but they just ignored him.

As I understand the term “money changers,” they were tax collectors. Otherwise, they would not have been in the Temple to change the money from one denomination to another, since taxes were collected on all exchanges.
Matthew was forgiven for his role in such a dubious career. ;o]

I found several “ghost” homes in remote areas of Utah where the house itself gave the clue to the prosperity of the owner. Some had no closets, some had HUGH closets.
FReepmail me with as much information (detailed) as you have on those people, and I’ll see what I can find. It may not happen overnight, but still....
