A new study by scientists has suggested that zombie attacks might increase if the current projections of global warming are realized. If the earth gets warmer, it means longer springs, summers, and falls, and shorter winters, said John Carpenter-Romero, Ph.D., a zombie-ologist who co-authored the study. And shorter winters means more time for the undead to prey on the populace.
Dr. Harrister, the other co-author, and head of Zombie Robotics at Wayward Robot, Inc., explained that cold winters typically stalled the walking dead. It is well known that zombies cant operate in cold weather. It freezes their brains.
The pair calculated a 32.782412% increase in zombie attacks if CO2 increased to twice its pre-industrial rate. Clearly, this is a very troubling result, said Dr. Harrister, If we dont do something soon, the streets will be filled with blood.
That’s good.
hafta go eat lunch...
Maybe you’d have better luck if you were Woofs-At-Maidens?
That would be Howls-At-Maidens.
Could be Woofs-For-Maidens...
DP has a leather chair here in the sunroom. The catz like it, and have left a few claw marks.
The new recliner arrived just as I was heading out to take Pat to gymnastics.
:o])
I had a solid walnut dining set with eight chairs. The seats were leather.
We had a cat, and a daughter who didn’t like to use a napkin. Every chair she sat in had teeth and claw marks.
Never again.
Our dinner table is birch, I think. We’ve had it since about 2000, and it’s holding up well considering the usage. We decided which house to buy based on where we could fit the table :-).
LOL!
That works for me!
Just up and mostly packed, now gotta shower and get ready for the day. If I'm not back in the next hour, I'll see you all Friday.
Good night, Eastern Time!
Good Night!
Good afternoon all. Back on once more, for the last time before my travels. February 21st will be 37-1/2 hours long for me.
Too friggin' cold this morning for my electronic thermometer to give a reading. Had to jump/boost my truck to get her started. Let her idle for 15 minutes and she was still blowing cold air out the vents for most of my commute in.
Work has been keeping me jumping. I'm working on another deal that oughta net me about $15k more a year. We'll see how that one pans out.
Back to the salt mines...
I’m sending you warm, huggy thoughts, guy....;o])
I hate the cold.
Yeah... me too. I grew up here, but then I escaped. It wasn’t my idea to come back here. I’m not even sure that an extra $25k a year is worth this.
If you hate the cold like I hate the cold, there is no amount of money worth the misery.
I grew up in Alaska and Central Utah, and I love the snow but hate the cold. My hands and feet were mildly frost-bitten every winter. *shudder*
There is NOTHING that would entice me to live in an area where the snow and cold ruled for six months (or more) of the year.
Take a special kind of masochist to want to live in those conditions.
When my mother lived in Brainerd, she was always talking about how much colder it was there than in Alaska.
*shiver*
I spent a winter in SoDak, two in Gt. Lakes, IL, and three in St. Charles, MO...NO THANKS!
I’ll stay rat chere!
Good Morning!
Good Morning!
