A new study by scientists has suggested that zombie attacks might increase if the current projections of global warming are realized. If the earth gets warmer, it means longer springs, summers, and falls, and shorter winters, said John Carpenter-Romero, Ph.D., a zombie-ologist who co-authored the study. And shorter winters means more time for the undead to prey on the populace.
Dr. Harrister, the other co-author, and head of Zombie Robotics at Wayward Robot, Inc., explained that cold winters typically stalled the walking dead. It is well known that zombies cant operate in cold weather. It freezes their brains.
The pair calculated a 32.782412% increase in zombie attacks if CO2 increased to twice its pre-industrial rate. Clearly, this is a very troubling result, said Dr. Harrister, If we dont do something soon, the streets will be filled with blood.
Well, they may not burn, but they steam a little.
We’ll be getting that rain tomorrow and Thursday, then again on the weekend. We need it. Better still, there is lots of snow in the mountains that feed into Lake Mead. A few more years of this Globull Warming, and the lake will be back up to normal!
Only when they’re “fresh...”
Reminds me of a punchline. I just wish I could recall the joke...
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.
As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.
Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
MORALS OF THE STORY:
1. Not everyone who poops on you is your enemy
2. Not everyone who gets you out of poop is your friend
3. And when you’re in deep poop , it’s best to keep your mouth shut!
Each to his own bed of nails....
LOL!
40’s and windy here. The recliner hasn’t arrived yet.
It’s 53 and trying to be sunny, but I suspect it won’t last long. No wind to speak of. Yet.
Is the recliner fabric? Or leather?
“Microfiber.” (Leather is sticky in this climate!) And it’s been Teflon-treated to repel stains.
Microfiber works. Anything “slick” is sticky in any climate. Even here.
Why people want leather furniture is beyond my ability to figure out! Especially with kids and/or pets. Sharp pointy things can make short work of a nice leather chair.
Life is good. Not to mention the positive feedback on my activities today, with consequences greater than I knew.
LOL — good one!
I’m not ashamed to say I’m a carnivore. I build my meals around meat, and always have. I’m really not into rabbit food, and when I’m ready for a salad, my body will tell me.
I’m glad you were able to enjoy your meal!
It’s old but it’s still pertinent!
Me too, except when the system says, "No!"
That said, I love a good salad (I can be picky however) and don't really get enough of same to satisfy my system. India isn't a good place for the kinds of salads I like, though the Waldorf at the conference lunch was a pleasant surprise.
But this meal was good, though rather mild by (my) Indian standards. I barely even got a light burn on my lips with this.
But I have to go, it's past midnight (LoM called and we talked a while) and I have a busy day ahead -- even before the travel ensues...
Hello from the cow patties...
Hello.
How Do?
Fine, for now.
