Good firing. The kid was pushing it with his attitude, and it seems like he is encouraging these confrontations, but the cop was definitely out of bounds. I’ve had several jerk officers over the years, and I’m a LEO supporter. The camera idea would be useful.

Ya think?

If the kid wouldn't have been recording this, do you think he would have acted this way? Do you honestly believe a twenty-year-old uses turn signals?

If that was my son, I'd march him to the police station to make a personal and public apology to the officer. Idiot kid is asking for it.

The cop was doing his job. The kid got an attitude. The cop acted exactly the way I would expect any cop to act when spoken to that way.

The problem is, the camera was rolling -- probably another YouTube fame seeker. Because it's now public, I agree that the cop needs to be fired.

What attitude? The cops are our servants not the reverse.

I had a girlfriend who had to leave town because of abusive police. Being a little mouthy does not mean you should get beat up.

My girlfriend is a older woman, very well educated, very small boned. She made the mistake of keeping asking the officer what he had stopped her for in the car. She wasn’t rude, just insistent to know what he had stopped her for.

The cop waited for backup, they hauled her out of the car
and slammed the top of her head into a cement wall while they had her handcuffed. They never did have a charge against her. She went to a lawyer and he told her it was a good old boy system and as she had teenage boys he wouldn’t advise her to press charges.

Sure enough, they started to follow her boys around, waiting outside where they were parked ,etc.

She eventually just left the town. She wanted to pursue, but couldn’t risk her kids. She said she wouldn’t live in an area where such corruption was so rampant.

We found out later several of the police were fired because of an excessive force incident.

Nowadays, I bet she would spring at putting cameras in her car. I can understand why this kid did.
