Food for thought. If they were to pass this bill for the mexicans to become legal. whom will work the farms. they will come out of the dark and they will demand better paying jobs, even more healthcare, and the right to vote.
Here's what i think build the fence. give the 20+ million and their kids 60 days to get out and wait in line to come back in.
I here that the goverment can not remove this many people. I ask this of the gov. YOU HAVE NOT TRIED.
HEY MR> PREZ. CAN I BREAK THE LAWS OF THE LAND.
As citizens, we should get to choose what laws we want to break and be awarded amnesty. Heck, if non citizens can get the equivalent of a pardon, then citizens should get the same kind of deal.
I’ll drive 90 in a 70mph zone and demand amnesty for the ticket.
This is exactly what happened in every legalization. Once they became legal they leave the fields and go in search of your everyday Americansâ job. Then the farms had to bring more illegals to replace the ones that were illegal. The moral of the story is TECHNOLOGY. Every time we look the other way and allow companies to bring in âcheap laborâ, quotes because they are not cheap, in terms of money or freedom, we fall further behind in creating the jobs that build and advance these technologies. The most expensive thing about this is the vast majority are poor south and central Americans, of which 80 percent would vote for people like Chavez.
Just say NO to Amnesty!! Keep calling!! Its NOT OVER!!

If we need them for cheap labor — “jobs Americans won’t do” — then legalizing them will defeat the purpose. Once they’re legal, they’ll hve to be paid like any other legal worker.
I’m sure that would make McVain’s head spin. Not to mention President Bush’s. Teddy Kennedy’s head is already spinning form all the liquor in Greater Washngton.
So just out of curiousity, are you proposing a police state in this country? Will we have to ‘show our papers’ wherever we go?
You say that it hasn’t been tried, but I’m not sure what it is exactly that’s supposed to be tried. Do we draft people into security services, raid homes, stop cars, take kids away? After the 60 day deadline, how long do you think it will take to even make a dent in the numbers?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sympathetic to what you’re saying, but you can’t just say ‘do it’ or ‘try it’ without having some basic explanation of how it can be done without drastically changing the country and incurring vast amounts of manpower and tax dollars to give the impression that you have a snowball’s chance in succeeding.
I always tell my leftist friends that ideals and principles are important things...until they run head first into reality. At some point, reality has to be considered if anything is going to be done about the problem at all.
