Media commentators have scoffed that Israel, with its relatively unique history, would ever use chemical weapons or poison gas in any war.

If they can't even get the media to buy it, the Israelis have nothing to worry about.

This one?? It's from the website in your post.

Is so, do people really think that one man could carry a missle that size and weight? Looks photoshopped to me.

This so-called human being, Wayne Madsen, is the biggest piece of talking excrement I have ever encountered. After I posted about one of his stupid conspiracy theory articles on my blog, he or one of his minions actually threatened me with bodily harm and used some pretty vile language.

Here's one of his "theories" on his absurd little site...

"Question for Bush and Blair. What man involved in Middle East policy is "sweet," according to Bush and "honey," according to Blair? Both Blair and Bush are strongly rumored to be bi-sexual. Visions of former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey (who was stung in an Israeli intelligence "honey trap") and White House male prostitute Jeff Gannon come to mind. Tricia McDaid, a former Labor Party aide revealed that Blair and Prime Minister heir apparent Gordon Brown had a homosexual fling when they were in opposition. Similar allegations have surrounded Blair and EU Commissioner Peter Mandelson. Bush's trysts with Yale Skull and Bones room mate and US Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe are legendary. It is interesting to note that male prostitute and faux journalist Jeff Gannon was present at the White House on two occasions when Bush and Blair were meeting: 4/16/04 Gannon entered at 10:51 am -departed 3:08 (2:41-3:09) (Bush/Blair press conference) and the really interesting Gannon visit: 11/12/04 Gannon entered 10:57 am and did not exit the White House on the day that Bush was again meeting with Blair."

I'll do my best to catch this traitor trash in another lie if I have to stay up all night to research it!

Total BS:

(and rather bad Total BS)

Arty shells have to be perfectly round to spin down the tube

Arty shells have to have an obdurating ring to keep the burning propellant gasses behind the shell, so it will go out end of tube.

This toy or whatever it is has no sizable propelling area, just big fins. It wouldn't take the supposed warhead 50 meters.

The line drawing is a rather simplistic representation of a chemical arty shell but the picture is some prop left over from the Jewish science fiction motion picture they shot in Israel called "Killer Klingons Go Kosher!"

Under high mag the artifacting around soldier's left hand certainly seems out of place IMO. The absence of ground shadow for the projectile seems odd but that is more difficult to tell.

Well, a "former U.S. weapons expert who served in Iraq" doesn't really provide much credibility about the actual type of shell in the picture.

Notice how no one has on face masks?

I wouldn't get uptight. For all we know, it's the idiot who got Dan Rather in trouble.

The photograph has definitely been processed in Photoshop. JPEG photos processed in Photoshop have a header which includes the following words in plaintext:

JFIF

Ducky

Adobe

If you open this photograph in a plain text editor, you can see those words right near the top of the file.

See this article which includes the following snippet:

Here's a curiosity: In the header of images created with Adobe Photoshop you will find three tags: JFIF, Ducky and Adobe. It appears that Ducky is the smoking gun that indicates that Photoshop was used to create the image, but we can't find any explanation or history regarding the use of Ducky. Let us know if you know what's behind this oddity.

p.s. Wouldn't such a bomb weigh 500 lbs. or more? Could this soldier possibly be carrying, without any assistance, what he is supposedly carrying???

Wayne Madsen is a buffoon:

New Mine Breaching System
Based on Fuel-Air Explosive (FAE)

Manufacturer: RAFAEL

Israel's weapon development company Rafael is producing a minefield breaching system called “Carpet”. The system is currently in use by the Israeli Army and will be fielded with the French Army by 2007. The system is a unique implementation of fuel-air explosive technology. It is an autonomous add-on kit that can be quickly fitted in the field to any armored vehicle. For minefield breaching, up to 20 rockets are fired in a rapid sequence. The number of rockets used is tailored for the type of target engaged. At the impact point, each rocket disperses a spray of fuel above the target area, to form the fuel-air explosive cloud. The detonation creates a strong impulse over a wide area, which triggers most mines, regardless of terrain, foliage or man-made obstacles. The explosion clears a safe passage, wide enough for safe movement of all combat vehicles. Firing a salvo of rockets from a distance of 65-165 meters from the forward edge of the minefield, Carpet enables breaching a path 100 meters long, within one minute.

Pre-programmed for automatic, semi-automatic or manual operation, Carpet is operated remotely from inside the vehicle’s compartment, under cover from enemy fire. The system can also be reloaded rapidly in the forward area. Unlike the Vipers, firing line charges across the minefields, Carpet rockets contain only liquid fuel which is flammable but not explosive in regular operating conditions. Therefore, if Carpet rockets are hit in their canisters, they do not cause any danger to the system, vehicle or nearby troops.

Fully loaded, the Carpet launcher weighs only 3.5 tons. It can carry up to 20 x 265 mm rockets, each weighing 46 kg. Fully functional training rockets can also be fired with the system for training exercises, safely simulating the entire operation (without fuel-air explosion). The system can be towed, mounted on the rear of the armored fighting vehicle (as shown on the IDF Puma AFV at EuroSatory 2002) or installed inside an APC.

France will field the Carpet system in 2007. The French Army plans to buy 12 AMX-B2 EBG combat engineering vehicle, which will be mount the armored, pyrotechnic anti-tank mine clearing systems (French abbreviations: SDPMAC) - employing 20 Carpet rockets. The SPDMAC will be installed on the EBG built by Giat Industries. These armored engineering vehicles are designed to deploy several types of mine clearing systems, and the Carpet will add versatility to these capabilities. The vehicles will be fielded with the French Army combat engineering brigade, which will assign three vehicles to support each mechanized brigade.

Iran needs evidence that Israel has and will use WMD to justify their own nuclear program as "self defense".

He's the biggest liar of all of 'em. I can't believe the trash he puts out. He's been saying Bush is drinking a lot again and his wife, Laura Bush has left him. He's also put out that Bush and Condi are having an affair. I can't believe some of the garbage this guy puts out.

Now he's putting out that Bush is bi-sexual. Boy, do I wish this demon would end up....gone forever!!!

What is amazing here is the amount of individuals who thought that the image was faked.

I am not an expert on photoshop, so I will not comment in that respect.
The rocket is part of the Carpet mine clearing system mounted on some IDF Puma AFVs (a heavy APC used by combat engineers based on a Centurion chassis with the turret removed), the rear of which can be seen behind the soldier. The rocket weighs 46 kg, has a FAE warhead and a maximum range of 165 m. You would have to be crazy to even think of using a rocket like that to deliver chemical weapons with that kind of proximity to ones own troops. However when you consider that the Hizbala sets up minefields with large numbers of IEDs, anyone with any military experience will tell you that mine clearing systems are a must.
