What Men Like About Women
Uh, me. | January 25, 2006 | Niuhuru

There is so much animosity these days between men and women; needless to say I think it would be a great thing to describe the positive things that men on this forum like about females, especially the Freeperettes.

I like almost everything about my man, his hairy chest, broad shoulders, his sexy body, his drive to make his business thrive, the way he teases me and makes me laugh.

BUT, what I don't like is his not sharing the REMOTE CONTROL!!!

What do i like about men.. hmm well here is my list of what I love about "men". Of course, these things won't fit every man in every situation, but it fits what I think of about the "good guys". :) Oh, and for the record, I am 30 and not currently in a relationship. :)

I like that they have strong chests (preferrably the fuzzy kind :) ) and arms, and a little bit of stubble on their faces if they don't shave.
I like that they can effortlessly pick up small children and throw them in air, making the little ones giggle.
I like that they are sometimes more levelheaded and calm and can be a refuge during the storms of life.
I like that they are usually mechanically inclined and can usually figure out how to fix things. :) (I'll admit that I don't know how and don't want to learn either!)
I love how they look like little boys when they are asleep.
I like that their calves were perfectly designed to fit with the bottoms of our feet on cold winter nights.
I like the way that their necks and shoulders are put together to form a perfect place for resting your head.
I like that they are firm but kind to children and animals. (And the best is when they act like they don't like the cat and then you find him and the cat cuddled up on the couch. Oh no, he doesn't like the cat at all LOL)
I like the way they flourish with praise.
I love that they dont' talk as much as us women and tend to choose their words with more caution.
I love that they are strong, courageous, protective and chivalrous.
I like the way they smell like a combination of their own scent and shaving soap.
I like how they will kill bugs and rodents so I don't have to. :-)

And I love how they are all little boys at heart, and haven't forgotten how to play.

It's like the kids who never play with their toys, but when you try to take them to the Salvation Army, all of a sudden, they want them. What you can't have or are about to lose somehow looks more attractive.

I certainly can't speak for all Freeperettes, but I think men have a tough role to fill. We want relationship. We want romance, respect, companionship and encouragement -- all the warm, fuzzy things that don't come naturally to most guys. But any guy who thinks I'm so great that I have to be fawned over or put on a pedestal, well, he probably isn't good enough for me!

I don't want to look down on my mate from a pedestal. I want to look him square in the eyes, or even look up to him. (Considering my hubby is 6'3", this works out fine!) For his first Father's Day, I bought my husband a card. It had a beautiful water color of a broad-shouldered soldier in armor, but over his shoulder peeked the tiny face of a child which he cradled tenderly. That's what we want.

I'm a big Narnia fan, and I love it when the children are reminded that although Aslan is good, he is not a tame lion. I think that's what most women want in a man -- someone strong and good, but not tame.

By comparison, women have it easy. In order to be completely fascinating, we need big boobs (which can be bought) and the ability to fetch beer from the fridge. Oh... and a great personality. Piece of cake!

Well, for one thing, the "make-up sex" is hot.

So are conjugal visits and "fugitive sex."
