We're slow! We did the living room and foyer and bathroom off-white last year, and now we have the dining room (and kitchen, as of tomorrow) will be bright yellow. Those were the rooms with the most damage from babies with crayons!
We'll probably move in a couple of years, when everything is painted. We always consider "What will a buyer think?" when we pick a color.

LOL! If he's coming for supper, how come he couldn't make it up here to fix my stove?

Our kitchen is bright yellow, and our dining room is berry red. We will probably be here for 10 more years, and weren't that concerned with the colors. My bathroom is berry red also..very hot!!

Wwe don't plan to move. Started in Feb a room per weekend, usually two full coats because of colors. Finished the painting began the organizing. Shelves everywhere. Turned Utility room into pantry including upright freezer and 200 linear feet of shelves. Every closet made useful. Finished that then started turning the deck into a covered screened in porch of 300+ sq ft plus 140 sqaurefoot deck. Finished the week before Memorial Day. Here is a picture of the Dining Nook, Kitchen, and corner of the great room.

Actually, it was to watch a soap...my one vice...one soap. It's the only time of day that I resent interruptions...*hanging head in shame*

My next-door neighbors (exact same house) have what we use for the dining room bright red. They have a pool table in it! And they painted stripes on the walls in the room where I'm sitting now (our study, their guest room).
I think it's nice that the houses will be very different - sets them apart if we're all trying to sell! I suppose we could be here long enough to really enjoy the paint, but we've always moved before.

Thanks!
I wasn't trying...now all I have to do is get a 000 before we have to pack up the castle and move it again.

The walls in our study (where I am now) are olive. I wasn't sure how I'd like it, but ended up loving it.

I'm not sure I'd like that, either, but maybe I'd be surprised. I was in a friend's house this afternoon, and her office walls were dark brown. Doesn't show crayon, I guess!

I had heard that that particular even wasn't actually to occur until October. Check with your local TV station...or the college if they have astronomy classes. They'll tell you the correct dates.

Dark brown is supposed to be very vogue now, but my jury is still out. My SIL has done her guest bath in a deep chocolate..I haven't seen it yet though. But yes, it would cover all kinds of damage.
