You don't get a vote, but I would welcome and treasure your opinion.

(Ohdang...I've been through this before...from the posts I've read to what's on TV in the background...)
No vote, no opinion.

What would you think of my putting a CD of my reading my poems in with the book? I would buy it. Instead of putting on the white noise machine I could drift off to the your dulcet tones.
Um you do promise not to put any subliminal messages in there don't you?

Well it was grown in dirt. And dirt is ground rock and decaying matter...
Oh wait.. You said that you didn't want to know, not that you wanted to know.
Never mind.

I dig.
And now I had better go crawl into my cosy bed.
Good night all!

"...you do promise not to put any subliminal messages in there don't you?" There are messages in all of my poems, just as there are bones in my arm. Hidden, perhaps, but there.
(Humerus?)
As an example, the poem posted above, "Ahh, Tokin'!" celebrates a different human sense with each stanza. It was constructed that way, but did you notice?

Like, the REAL question, man, is "Who IS the blindman?" Once you answer that, you, like, open the gate. The GATE, man, the gate! Are you hep?
To: Army Air Corps
"I beat a rythm on the dashboard -- but the blind man cannot smirk." This part is clear enough. (The key is dashboard.) I just feel sorry about the candle.

You and yer fancy schmancy double entendres...
To: Army Air Corps; Harmless Teddy Bear; Monkey Face
And I have always believed it is better to light a candle...
Candle Dream
A candle laid down as canal, a river filed with wax.
The eye looks down the length of it, and haze conceals its tracks.
The other way is just the same, the end far out of sight.
This waxen river is of time, and flickers with a light.
For stitched along the length of it are wicks of guttered flame,
They burn down to the surface and ignite one just the same.
Each flame thus passes on to others at its base,
The energy and spirit for the fate each has to face.
Each one a single entity, connected in the seam,
Just as the multitude creates a glowing presence in the stream.
A glow that reaches Heavenward and bathes it in its light,
As silently the flames march ever onward in the night.

"You and yer fancy schmancy double entendres..." Former tagline...
Subliminal messages, no hidden charges. Double entendres, half-off. Menage-a-trois, get one free.

ROFLMAO!
That was a good one!
To: Army Air Corps
Very rewarding! Thanks!
I need to rest also. Good Night to all in the Spawning Pool.
I shall have an update to the Lunar mission in the next few days, now that the tension about the shuttle is over.
We'll need a small crew of people willing to work as pilots, so think about what you might want to bring along, and what you might want to do on the moon. And if your only goal is to become a member of the 240,000 Mile-High-Club, please don't tell me about it!
