I need technical HELP!!! The Comcast guy came by this afternoon and left off the cable and modem that I need plus the CD-ROM. Everything went okay until I tried to attach the USB cable into the back of my computer. Guess what? My Compaq Presario 2030 does NOT have the USB port for a cable modem. Therefore does anybody out there know if I can get a USB card for my computer with the port for the modem? Also what would my system requirements be? Of course, the ultimate solution would be to get a newer computer but until then, can I install a USB card to do the trick? Any help from you tech types would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Of course, if Mary Matalin contacted me at PJ-Comix to give me the go-ahead for a DUmmie FUnnies book (with CD-ROM insert for related comix stories PLUS other goodies) deal, I could afford to just hand a big wad of cash to one of my servants to pick up a brand new computer for me.

Do you know how you can figure out that the Karl Rove “scandal” is going NOWHERE? Simple. When the DUmmies start consulting astrologersThat says it all.
Any other Dummie threads with more kookiness? I saw one or two when they were happy, but I suspect they may be starting to fear their scandal coming apart tonight. Maybe the NYT will come and save the day tomorrow (Drudge).

PJ, as per your cable modem problem, do you have a network connection built into your PC? You should be able to use a Cat5 network cable to connect to the Cable Modem and then the cable modem connect to the RG6 cable going out to the street.
