just the headline...
Police spokesman says the building had been sealed and no one was being let in or out...
as evening falls... cue the bat-signal?
I doubt very much if there was a security alert that they wouldn't be evacuated.
Sounds like a false alarm. Nothing on the news channels here either.
Does matt have a UK police scanner? How does he know this?
Answer....
>>>Capt. Hook
I walked into a bar once and saw a guy who had a wooden leg, a hook for a hand, and a patch over one eye.
He said he was a real pirate, so I asked him how he got the wooden leg.
"Aarg, it was in the South Pacific, I went overboard during a storm and a shark got me leg!"
So I asked him how he got the hook for a hand...
"Aarg, it was in the North Atlantic, we were boarded by another pirate ship and a swordfight ensued. That's where I lost me hand, and they put on this hook!"
So I asked him how he got the patch on his eye...
"Aarg, it was a seagull dropping!"
"You lost your eye to bird poop?"
"Well, it was the first day I had the hook!"
You cant listen to the UK police...
Drudge is nuts....no mention on the BBC Live Five updates.
UK has that digital encrypted TETRIS system, which is going EU wide....
Actually, if I'm not mistaken, this is the guy who has a special duty nurse on duty to wipe his (literally) sorry arse, since he has a hook on each hand.
Imagine trying to put that on you're resume!!
Then the next story on the main threadlist:
Religious Hate Law Aimed At Protecting Muslims Passes UK Vote ^
Anyone looking for the Brits to grow a set of balls at this late date is delusional!
LONDON Another sign that London is on edge in the aftermath of last week's bombings. Police say a security alert has been declared today at the House of Commons.
A spokeswoman isn't saying if the building's been evacuated, or what caused the alert.
Another spokesman says the building's been sealed, and nobody's being let in or out.
Yesterday, police briefly closed several streets where most government officers are located -- after a suspicious package was found. It contained no explosives.
"The Metropolitan Police have said a security alert at the Palace of Westminster has now been stood down."
