I've noticed that Pied Piper Pitt has been MIA for almost a week. No DUmmie posts nor even PDA Blogs by the Bloviator. Has the fact that he got SCAMMED once again by Scamdy by posting those PHONY documents sunk in yet? Somehow I think Pitt might have had a nervous breakdown. Remember, he hasn't been able to sleep since April. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Pitt is now residing in a Rubber Room.

Can you put Scamdy's pic on a bottle of Miracle Whipple?

crawdads are a poorman's lobster

I guess I'll never develop civilized tastes. I like lobster but really enjoy crawdads especially when cooked with sausage, corn and potatos.

Oh no, William Rivers Pitt has been profuse with his excruciatingly tedious attempts at journalism. The DU comments have been spotty. A few threads here, a few comments there.

I do wonder why he has failed to do a follow-up to his "Stand Up Next To" An Ain't No Mountain High Enough, True, Truehearted, Truthseeking, True Believer, True Story, Truth Truth And More Truth, Truthout commentary. Very peculiar that he would abandon his friend Andy after standing "up next to a mountain" and chopping "it down with the edge of" his hand.

I just checked Pied Piper Pitt's PDA Blog. NO new blogs in a week. Something has definitely happened with him. I haven't spotted him in DUmmieland in a while either. I guess all that sleep deprivation is catching up with him.

Either that or he's lost his thesaurus.

Just out of curiosity.
Are you allowed to fly right after major surgery.

How did Andy get to Seattle so quickly. I seem to remember something about flying and the side effects after surgery. For him to have 12 hours of major surgery and hop on a plane a week or two later is really pushing it a it.
Here is a link about dangers of flying after surgery.

As an aside, I would love to hear from anyone, either here at FR, over at DU or anywhere in the entire world who has ever made it through to the end of one of his excruciatingly tedious and hackneyed commentaries, articles, or reports.

I have tried on many occasions but find that after two paragraphs or so, I begin to appreciate the brevity of Senator Robert Byrd and the refreshingly terse campaign speeches of failed presidential candidate, John F. Kerry.

This is OT but I am noticing more and MORE talk about Cheney '08 recently. You might remember me mentioning in a previous DUFU edition that there is a move afoot to get Cheney to run in '08 IF his doctors give him the go-ahead. This week Chris Matthews on his show was seriously discussing the increading possibility that Cheney will run in '08.

Pitt is a blowhard writing in recycled leftist cliches. He thinks of himself as some sort of resident intellectual in DUmmieland but it is now sinking in that to the outside world he will be FOREVER identified with AndyScam. When this case gets to trial that is how everybody on the outside will remember Pitt: As an incredibly GULLIBLE idiot who fell for Andy's Scam over and over again. After expressing doubt about anything Andy says, he then goes ahead and posts phony FAX documents that Andy sent him to "verify" his non-existent pancreatic cancer surgery.

No wonder Pitt can't sleep. He realizes he has become a national laughingstock.

I still want to know why he is eating red peppers just 2 weeks after a surgery like this. The meal he described sounded like Fajitas.

In all fairness, he could have been talking about sweet red peppers. I made fajitas two nights ago and used green and red peppers, both sweet. They come in almost every color of the rainbow these days.

You're welcome to come aboard for the spearfishing expeditions..

Hey, Thanks! We didn't do much spearfishing, but I have a lot of friends that were in the (San Diego) Bottom Scratchers (spearfishing club dating from the 1930s) and a very good friend who was an excellent spearfisherman. He could dive to 100 feet, no problem.

Ping me if your friend is serious. I have friends in the NE who have dove the Doria repeatedly and I know a couple of the boat captains. Two of my women friends have also dove the Monitor on expeditions.

The Doria is a seriously dangerous dive. Your friend should consider it carefully before attempting!

"he said his gall bladder was removed"

I found this on the timeline:
Feb-19-05

goodboy posted to DU: Andy was on his way to have his gall bladder out the previous day (Feb 18)>>

I couldn't find it but I remember Andy stating that he was getting back to normal after that surgery. The jaundice was going away. Was that statement attached to the gallbladder removal? Can anyone search DU and find those statements?

"The Doria is a seriously dangerous dive. Your friend should consider it carefully before attempting!"

He's had his Master Diver ticket for about 10 years now and I think he's wanting a real challenge. He's been researching the Doria dives for a couple of years, but I'm not sure if he's going to give it a try.

The people I know who have done it are all Instructor Trainers. It's deep, cold and dark with heavy currents and poor visibility.

On the upside, they've got some awesome artifacts!

Is Scamdy going to talk about the Gannon/Gosch connection on the radio?

There's a topic that gives him some serious credibility as an on-line investigator.

Even "sweet" bell peppers seem a bit of a stretch for someone who had a portion of his duodenum removed a fortnight ago. Then again, I'm not a doctor.
