In my view, coming onto a site specifically to whine is just as disruptive as it would be in a real world meeting. To see my pojnt, try this: If he (or one of us) had gone over to DU and signed up just to go into the "How's Andy doing" thread and say, repeatedly "You're not listening! Andy is scamming you! You're so dumb!" would they be in their rights considering it disruptive? I think so.
I think the thread is better for having this out there.
At first. But then...
I don't know what you are referring to. What "repeated accusations" are you talking about?
Every time he opened his yap he was talking about meanspiritedness and bile. Now, before it was explained to him, fair enough. But after he was repeatedly told why we are down on the scam, he continued to bloviate about meanspiritedness. I don't see how discussion is enhanced by someone who either cannot or will not see that people might object to the exploitation of cancer.
Again, it is unclear what "do that crap" means to you.
The 4 things I cited.
If they start spouting offensive race hatred, then ban them.
Someone from stormfront comes over, identifies themselves as such, and then is nice and polite and they get to stay? Uh-uh. Having people say "they let neo-Nazis post there" would be every bit as bad as a rep for the supposed ideological lockstep you claim we're in.
I think it was a borderline case, and if I were the mod he might still be here. But I'll back the mods on this one, because he came here to spew, not to debate, or to learn. If he had come here to debate, he wouldn't have been whining about meanspiritedness after things were explained to him.

I think the point he made about his taste buds is suspicous. Would surgery affect your taste? I know my Dad's chemo included Gemzar (sic?) which is also used for pancreatic cancer. His taste became so skewed he could only handle enjoy certain foods, many of which he hated before the Chemo. I wonder if Andy is checking out cancer sites for side effects and has picked out something from people on a different treatment schedule than the one he is supposedly on?

I don't think he has had chemo yet. And the simple truth is, from everything else that has been put out about his health, I would probably have to see the nurse put the needle in the vein at this point. Other people have reported, and it makes sense, that after having major abdominal surgery the body needs a while to recuperate before chemo starts. So theoretically, he wouldn't start it for another week or so. If he actually had surgery or cancer, that is.

I wish so many here would chill out and let people indict themselves with their own postings instead of jumping the gun and getting people on the defensive.

Good lord! Even being well acquainted with the vileness of the DUmp
Right now they are in a tizzy because Miami just became a sex offender free zone. Here is part of one of their rants.
The "right" of parents to keep their children safe (not even a "right"- it's a f**king DESIRE!!) does NOT trump the right of those who have served their sentence to live freely!!
You made a lifestyle choice in having children. Eat it. You *chose* to have kids, YOU keep them safe! You do NOT have the right to even know about these people.

So what's up with scamdy.com??
You would think the democratic party mucky-muck moderator who listed his web site as Daily Kos would be able to keep it online.
And Andy didn't mention the "c" word??
My, my, my, my, my.
My, my.

You do NOT have the right to even know about these people.I saw that yesterday, but it was just so bizzare I didn't want to post it. Apparently, the guy who posted that, lives with a sex offender, who just happened to wake up with his hand on his stepsons crotch, and was given 8 years in the slammer. The worst part was the people who were agreeing with him.

Very interesting observation. Something about what he said didn't sound right, and you may have nailed it.
My father had chemo for years and it was at that point his tastes changed as well. He was eating stuff I never would have imagined him eating, and enjoying too. For example, he was a man who never drank soda, punches, or any kind of overly sweet beverages. While on chemo he couldn't get enough of Sunny Delite, had cases and cases of it on hand, whereas before chemo one sip would have turned him off

I don't think he has claimed to have had any chemo yet. In my experience with my wife, she had to wait about 3 weeks after surgery (every bit as invasive as whatever he had and maybe more so) before starting radiation and chemo. The body cannot tolerate hard chemo or radiation after a major surgery. It also depends on the chemo itself. Some are gentle, some are 'hard' especially the heavy metal types.
But I reiterate, after all of the different stories and contradictions, I would have to see the nurse put the needle in the vein.
It is very possible that he isn't going to have radiation or chemo, but is saying this because it is required to keep up the pancreatic cancer shill.

I just read about a registered sex offender recieving MedicAid funded Viagra. That shows such a wonderful spirit of caring towards a recovered sex offender. Just because he was a sex offender and cannot afford Viagra doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it, he has the need. Any good socialistic society will supply the need without question.
What is so hard to understand about this??
From each according to their ability,
to each according to their need.

"Well Joan Krawitz is honorable and I think Ms Harris' troubles are just beginning..."
Joan Krawitz' having this wretch as a board member of her organization after all that has come out the last month shows that she's: (A) stupid (B) incredibly naïve (C) in on the scam or (D) some combination of the above.

Hey, Peej, I used to go to Zuma Beach just about everyday in my old WWII Willies jeep! Diving the kelp with the marine mammals is one thing that I miss about CA diving - I don't miss that cold water!
I have heard that spearfishing is good in the Keys, but you'd have to find the right area since they closed off part of it with the marine sanctuary.

I know he hasn't had chemo yet. And we know that chemo does affect taste. But does surgery?

I think sharkhawk's point was that it is very strange to think the surgery caused his taste to change. Chemo will do that, but surgery? That sounds very odd to me too.

Are you serious about eating dirt?
I think even drinking excess tap water can deplete minerals, or it can do something, but there has to be a lot of excess drinking.
At home I use a Pur water filter on my tap and have been doing that for several years but I never drink water to excess. And I drink a few cups of tea throughout the day.
I used to drink Dasani and I know they added calcium carbonate back into the water, which I assume they did for the health of their customers.
I'm guessing you're being facetious about eating dirt, but I've lived long enough to never be sure of such a thing.
My grandmother used to tell us as children we needed to eat a bushel of dirt before could grow up. I never really understood what she meant by that.

It kind of does sound like Andy is looking up side-effects and jumped the gun on the taste bud change. Maybe he got confused and thought the pancreatic surgery affected taste buds, when it is the chemo that does it.
To: KJC1
Actually,
Having things taste different after a Whipple doesn't seem to be "that" far out.
http://www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/PCFAQeatingafterwhipple.htm
I wonder if he thought about having that "tumor" assayed by a lab after it was cut out to see which chemo would be best to use.
But then, you have to have cancer to receive chemo.
To: KJC1
I think sharkhawk's point was that it is very strange to think the surgery caused his taste to change. Chemo will do that, but surgery? That sounds very odd to me too.Any number of medications can cause changes in gustatory distinction. That said, why Andy chose to reveal this tidbit is in itself odd and thus suspect, but it isn't something we'll ever be able to prove true or false. For that reason I wouldn't put too much stake in this statement or its validity: it might just be another ruse.

With Howard Dean the dems have formally graduated from "disarray" to "debacle", with "irretrievable disaster" just around the corner.
