I believe it was Ambassadors from the Holy Roman Empire who were defenestrated.

Whew! Reading that stuff is why I am glad I am a FReeper and have the DUFU to read. Don't have to run jump in the shower after reading maybe 10 posts of F-words and stuff! Thanks, frank and the others for keeping it clean and getting the job done!

I believe you are correct. The Emperor's deputy governors were thrown out of a window by Protestant Bohemians(read liberals,LOL) to protest Catholic repression.

Well, it may be I've forgotten more history than most people ever learn--but the word "defenestration," I first encountered--bumped into it like a stampeding bison hitting a brick wall--was in a biography of Elizabeth I of England.

I really can't believe you want to stay at CU after this is over. They are a bunch of little, whining children. They wanted us all over there so they could play and now like little children, they're bored. They think they're cool because they use "bad" words and call each other names. I have no intention of returning there for any reason because I don't feel like being called names for know reason. They're small potatoes and don't appear to know it. You're more willing than I am to take abuse from silly people.

While guests are expected to behave, their hosts are also supposed to treat them with respect. I never signed up because I found the people mostly full of themselves. I wouldn't have any problem with the DUmmies coming here as long as they could behave, but we all know they can't.

I had to look it up when you used it.
Just reporting what I read about the Defenestration of Prague, not any other times this devise was used. LOL.

Are you kidding.

We don't know any more than we knew at 9:30 p.m. (Nebraska time) April 28.

You can at least get an honest answer out of an honest criminal who's being stubborn, within 33 days, but man, these Andyites are tenacious.

No answers to no questions.

Yep! Words to live by. I have seen Bev on the tube and several news stories. Some people believe it is fine to throw ethics out the window in order to promote their beliefs. I expect those that I consider to be friends to have a little more class than that.

It is the reason I joined this board during the last election cycle.

I was just thinking the exact same thing. I had thought things were getting a little better over there and once again was just about to sign up when, here come the mods threatening to ban people, trying to be intimidating (it's laughable)by posting pics of clocks, typing, "tick, tick, tick" warning, warning warning. Very immature crowd over there and the mods are just way too full of themselves.

123 sites X 20 dollars a day X 60 days = 147600

email lists, national radio.

Just for starters.

Figure out the math if would like. It has been said they raised 56000 on du in a week.

But who really knows.

For such a "horrible" Bush economy, the DUmmies sure have a lot of cash to blow on DNC donations and con artists.

147600 - not a bad scam...

This guy is getting all that money that would have gone to Howard Dean. I could get to appreciate Scamdy.

WOw! Just read the whole redacted thread. Sounds like you have a STRONG case for an harrassment lawsuit against Andy.

I've never heard so much whining and patting each other on the back going on between "Mods". How hard they work, etc. Give me a break. Plus if I recall, they are calling the FR's who have signed up "freaky" or something like that.

When you have DUmmies complimenting you on what a great job you're doing it's time to step back and reevaluate yourself.

My, my, my, my, my.

My, my

I get the biggest kick out of these two lines.

Say Frank, have you ever read any Taylor Caldwell? She had a vocabulary that had you constantly reaching for the dictionary on the first page sometimes. What's amazing is she wrote Romance of Atlantis when she was a teenager.

She is one of my favorite authors, next to Ayn Rand.
