Thanks, I read it. I think the difference here is the spread to the lymph nodes. What I read on that site only talked about pancreatic cancer and no nodes. Oncologists don't wait around when a person has had cancer this long and they know it has spread.
I stopped in earlier to check out the Dome but couldn't find it. I did find Best/word of DU and read a highly entertaining thread about how the sun is getting hotter.
I've been laughing about it since.

That isn't really surprising. The body has to be fairly well healed from major surgery before you knock out it's immune system with chemo, and weaken/scar the area with radiation. Otherwise you'll end up with surgical complications (maybe more likely infections, wound breakdown, etc).
IIRC the CT report (disputed by some) mentioned an encapsulated tumor and some enlarged lymph nodes. It also mentioned Dr. Yao's name. I'm guessing they were hoping the lymph node enlargement was just inflammatory and hanging a lot of hope on the word "encapsulated" because that is much better than the alternative.
Yes, but I don't think the common patient recovering from the Whipple procedure has been diagnosed with cancer of the lymphomic system in his post-op pathology report.
Either it's encapsulated or it spread...can't be both. By very definition an "encapsulated" tumor, whether benign or malignant hasn't spread...like being in a capsule. I'm guessing Andy has told them all different things at different times, none of them have the same story and they've been told so many different things they can't keep anything straight. They either have to feign ignorance, make something up on the fly or deflect. I'm betting a few even realize they've been taken for a ride and just don't care...they are the party where the ends justify the means...they know what's best, etc. Those that DO care are either too far into this to think they can get out or are so defensive right now they don't want to face the truth. Horrible place to be...unless your Andy.

Ack! That should be "lymphatic system", not "lymphomic system".
You what I have not heard mention of is the removal of any lymph nodes along with the tumor. Only the tumor is....wait a minute, have they even said the word "tumor" since the surgery? I noted earlier that noone ever compared the size of the tumor to anything (as is the usual custom) No talk of size since surgery. But I may have missed it. Anyone?
My original point was, that even in breast cancer, sometimes even if only a biopsy, they will test some of the lymph nodes. No mention form the Scamdy camp.
I haven't been over to DUmmieland.
Did someone say the DUmmies don't know?
Or did I misread something?
I thought Beandog said the DUmmies don't know. I was there earlier this evening and I say no thread about Andy. No thread posted by one of his inner circle. I even looked at a few of the threads to see if it was burried. Nope, nada, zilch.
Well, I think the DUmmies should start reading the DUmmie FUnnies, to get their news about DUmmieland.
If the DUmmies had been reading the DUmmie FUnnies the evening of April 28, this whole thing could have been shut down within a day or two, rather than dragging on for more than a month.
Stupid DUmmies. They should pay attention.
"Ive been a moderator here in Thunderdome since day 1. Ive seen some of the rudest and harshest words ever uttered by humanity posted in here. Yes, leaving it here would no doubt cause that prick badboy some grief eventually but as a parent of 3 great sons I couldnt let that just sit there. I just couldnt."
I just had to post this. I think this is something everyone should see. badboy has no humanity at all if Thunderdome would pull his post. I've only been to Thunderdome a few times but I can barely stand the language there. Those posts remain. I don't even want to imagine what he said to get that one post pulled. What I do know is that it was directed at Ree. I am sorry, Ree, for the loss of your stepson. I can't even imagine the grief that caused.
Andy_Stephenson, Tue May-31-05 10:39 PM 5. I am in too much pain to sleep.

You were great Ree. They needed to come "face to face" (so to speak) with very real experience. I have a feeling they have just been reading books and web sites about this. Doesn't have quite the same impact.
They've been reading really bad screen scripts too.
And reading page 5 before page 3.
Not all of them. Some read page 4 first, others skipped all the way to page 8 and then said "nevermind". Idjits
Marking for morning. One last thought for the night. I have always wondered why somebody who was so anxious to have surgery on May 10th and knowing that the money had to be paid up front wouldn't have either called JH on the 9th or actually gone over there. After all he claims he was in Baltimore that day. Wouldn't you have wanted to make sure the money arrived before supposedly cleaning your bowel out and showing up on the 10th for surgery?
7 days in the hospital. His surgery was last Tues. JH got him in a day early, supposed to be Wed.
