He better come out and confirm this. John McStain and his little band of quislings has tried to yank the leadership of the Senate away from Frist. They need to have their ears boxed.
Senator/MAJORITY LEADER Frist needs to show up on television just like McCain and affirm that he is the Leader, not McCain. I'm glad to see him make some strong statements on the matter however.
I hope Frist will use the constitutional option if they try to filibuster a constitutionalist Supreme Court nominee.
Well, after hearing Rush's take, then listening to Senator Frist on Hannity's radio show, (and then Sean talking to Pickering a little later)....
I fear my first instincts were correct. This is a huge loss for the GOP in general, and for conservative aspirations in particular.
Reading between the lines (he couldn't bring himself to say so directly), Frist believes that McCain & co. not only stabbed him in the back, they really ursurped his power.
The more I think about it, I'm now thinking that the mentally unbalanced McCain and his cohorts are planning to position themselves as "moderates", and draw off the more centrist Dems and "wishy-washy" Repubs into a "new" political party.... Perot revisited, except the target is not to draw conservatives but "fence sitters".
McCain: Drop the Mc, call true conservatives Abel, and you get a perfect picture of what has happened out of the Bible
My belief is that the 48 Republican Senators need to have their own news conference and announce that they will never sign on to this agreement - Nuclear votes tomorrow.
That the exact problem we Conservative have here up north, we have Red Tories(CINOs) constantly undermining the Party. What the republican party needs to do is purge those CINOs because they are a bigger threat to the success of the party rather then the democratic party.
