I'd like to suggest, never again let DU be used to raise funds for anything or for anyone. Raising the funds for Andy has hurt this community in too many ways, yes, it did show we were a community to be activated, but look what has happened since. This is so not necessary. Someone mentioned in another thread a circle. Well, yes. We here at DU are not showing our best I'm afraid. Everyone is/are attacking the next. May we all just gather in a circle and start firing away.

I was warned off of helping in a similar manner a year or so ago by a very good friend that runs a well known website. He predicted to me this type thing would happen.

My heart is breaking for us all. We are better than this~!

Hey, if you're using high speed 'net (cable mdm or dsl) I recommend getting a 'linksys firewall router'. This way, you don't have to worry about buying a separate firewall and it's all set to go for you right out of the box! There are some tweaks that will make it more safe, but you really don't have to worry about that unless you decide to get fancy with it. ;3 It works great and gives you the added protection you'll need for surfing the 'net. It's cheap too!

Yes, I've seen that one, too. It may be a good idea to begin visiting some of the other leftist forums to see if they pick on Andy scam. I have a partial list of some websites that have had appeals from Andy on them, and some have forums so it might be interesting.
