Maybe Andy had NO idea as to how big this would get. Maybe he thought he could limit it to DU and a few liberal sites. It's astonishing that anyone thinks they could get away with this in plain view of everyone. But maybe that's part of what makes it work. It's so unbelievable, that you don't question it as much. I don't know. I guess only time will tell on this one.

"Because you care about this place."
Yeah, Skins you better hope they do because you sure don't. Allowing personal fund-raisers to be held on a web forum is just kind of tricky, don't ya think? Who's next? If I register can I hold my own personal fund-raiser,too?
To: WinOne4TheGipper
Can you imagine what your life would be like without DU?
No. Where would I go to get a cheap laugh, if DU withered on the vine? Nevermind. The scum-suckers would probably move elsewhere...

Is there a link to the thread where Andy names his tumor Bev?

What is even weirder is having DUer's and exDUduer's show up here and have civil discussions without having to call the kitties. LOL
Andyco does not realized he/they may just have been the down fall of the DU...LOL
Now while we have their undivided attention.....

So can you put your mind around the magnitude of the collection? Can you grasp that it might be about real money? Do you grasp that the fundraising began in December?
122 sites @ 100 dollars a day X 2 months equals how much? do the math
Factor in radio exposure, email lists, and appearances.
No disclosure of funds raised
No verifiable proof
No straight answers
No consistent stories
Everything based on word of mouth as proof
Mysterious people vouching
History of being involved in something scandalous
Everything based on emotion rather than facts
This little fund raiser apparently and supposedly took in 56000 in a matter of a week. How much was collected before, and how much collected after?
Demanding disclosure in voting, while disclosing nothing.
Money does funny things. Specially if your entire income and way of life has been determined from fundraising.
Conservatives believe things they see, Liberals see things they believe.. RR

Yep, I'm a "her". Just about done with another update to the timeline. Got a late start today. Spent most of the morning trying to chase down one of my roosters so I could isolate him and treat his eye. Normally they all get along pretty well, but the less dominate one got a lucky kick the other day and now Moose-o-lini's eye is infected and he can't see out of it. Even so, you wouldn't believe how hard a one-eyed rooster is to catch. Wamt to double check and make sure I've added all the pings from today.

You really deserve serious kudos for taking this on. It's hard to keep up with it all. Thanks.

I suspected that we had drew the attention of Ms. Harris because of you. ;-) That was interesting. I believe there are two sides to Andy and her story and somewhere in between there is the truth. I don't think any of us will ever really know what it is (at least I won't).

I should add this to clear it up a bit by doing backwards math.
We are to believe that he has collected 56000
56000/122/60 = 7.65 a day.

"Well, they think they are liberals but they have conservative beliefs."
My Dad had a long talk with several of his friends and explained to them that they were actually Republican not Democrat. They voted Democrat because that is what their fathers had done. They now vote Republican.

Some quotes from
this article:
In recent years she's [Bev Harris] made her living as a literary publicist, hawking such books as Odyssey of the Soul by Hugh Harmon and Pamela Chilton, which is about channeling spirits
Maybe someone should let Andy know that, while he's contemplating the after life, having Bev channel his spirit is always an option (not Bev the tumor).
The tone of Harris' rhetoric disturbs Anderson. "Bev Harris is a little more conspiracy-oriented than I tend to be. I don't believe this is a huge Republican plot to steal elections," she says. "Maybe the whole matter would have been taken more seriously earlier had not the highly partisan charges been made so shrilly."
Nahh, Bev's not partisan at all
Andy is also mentioned in the article as her "right hand man" with whom she immediately bonded.
In fact, Harris' right-hand man is running against Reed. Andy Stephenson met Harris through Democratic Underground, a left-wing Web site (www.democraticunderground.com), and they immediately became close cohorts. Stephenson, 42, looks like a shorter, stockier version of talk-show host Conan O'Brien, and until recently he owned the Subway shop on 15th Avenue on Seattle's Capitol Hill. As a former telephone salesperson, he has skills that Harris lacks: He's great on the phone or talking one-on-one with people.
Was he great on the phone Speed? teehee. He seems to be great with all those people he "met once".

Better yet, send it to BBV. LOL! You attacked her, might as well help her rather than her enemy.
