Ah, the magnificent Clare Booth Luce (1903-1987)--the epitome of grace, class, elegance, and wit.
My dream woman but alas too much before my time.
Thank you, xenalyte, for posting this!
Just that alone makes all the AndyScam work worthwhile.
Great work!
"""BTW, welcome. I see you've found a respite from the group espousing diversity, inclusion, and "free speech""""

yah, just a tad disillusioned here. I know it must be quite a chore for Skinner to look after a daycare of 65,000 but he Really Screwed Up here when he had every opportunity to put things square.
So you were really banned from DUmmieland? Just curious. Were you aware of the DUmmie FUnnies over there?
You know, madam, I always wanted to look like Henry R. Luce, so I could end up with a wife like Clare Booth Luce.
Alas, never happened.
I just contacted--just before getting the "big scoop" in the ANDY ALERT! above--the Shark in Seattle.
I'm sure the Shark will do us good.
Please disabuse yourself of the notion that DU is 65,000 strong. That number includes all the duplicate usernames as well as the tombstoned--including yourself--in order to artificially inflate their count and their egos. It also includes many, many operatives who shall remain nameless. (I shall neither confirm nor deny that I am one of those.)
If I had to guess, the real number of DUers is somewhere in the 2000-5000 range.
There is know way that DUmmy Andy would be able to travel several days after a surgery like that even if the length of stay at the hospital was short. I still believe that he was never scheduled for surgery on May 10th, no lost checks, etc. I think it was a way to get the DUmmies to hurry up and give the money by the 9th because things were moving a little slow.
Indeed!! Again, I say, why JHH of all places?
Bingo, madam.
You and I have Siamese-twinned minds here, and I bet we're right on the, uh.....money.

yes, I was banned a few weeks ago, around the start of Big Push for donations. An explanation was never given to me - I emailed admin several times but got no replies - so I just assuming I was tombstoned because I started asking questions about the fund drive. I wasn't nasty about it at all, either, just basic normal questions you'd ask if someone was begging you for money... like, erm what kind of proof do you have?
then, Bam!
No, I haven't been to this site before because I was told my eyes would fall out and my tongue would bleed in shaggy ribbons if I happened to come by here. heh.
Yeah, I would trust him a bunch more than any of the other of Seattle reporters*.
The timeline is located between posts #2017-2026, with a couple of other posts in between the segments.
Thank you again, gardencatz!
Thank you for capturing that screen-shot.
By the way, is it just me, or is that image of the television star Felonious Andy starting to look like a box of breakfast-cereal?
I must be tired.
I just can't believe he wants us to believe he's having life saving surgery on a Tuesday, and lets not forget the surgery itself could supposedly kill him, and by Friday he's well enough to stroll up to New Jersey. I can't think of a single surgery I've had that I've been well enough to travel around in a couple of days. I wish we'd seen this before and SA could have asked him about it.

oops, thought you meant whether I was aware of this thread on FreeRepub...
But yes, to a certain extent there were things that made me cringe a bit, but that happens all over, being people and all. It's when the shark frenzy started against people with questions about the fund drive that I got kinda ill.... and that was a bit after I was no longer able to post there - just lurked.
