TERRI SCHINDLER (Schiavo)DAILIES May 11, 2005: DEMAND IMPEACHMENT OF JUDGE GREER
Free Republic ^ | May 11, 2005 | floriduh voter

Freerepublic.com has a super-sized archive regarding Terri Schiavo. The Dailies thread is a digest of breaking news, venting, ranting, photos, prayers, poetry, contact numbers and serve as a meeting place. The daily thread runs itself for the most part.

Please put your links regarding justice for Terri on this thread or articles re: people who are waking up all the time and speaking because they've been given new treatments. Terri was denied a chance to eat by mouth at the end and she was denied new groundbreaking tests by Judge Greer. Instead, he stuck to his guns that she would be starved and dehydrated beginning on March 18th. What a man. It takes a big man to starve an innocent woman to death. This was ALL AGAINST THE FLORIDA STATUTES.

EXPOSURE IS ON THE HORIZON: Mark Fuhrman's book will be available at www.amazon.com by the end of June, 2005. Another book by Cheryl Ford, RN will be available soon.

The GOP is getting phone calls but they are not listening to their constituents on the issue of George Greer. Does the GOP endorse judicial tyranny? Ask them. Find out.

Possibly we can mend a divide in the Republican Party that is turning into a dangerous crevasse by demanding the impeachment of Judge George Greer, Sixth Circuit Court, Pinellas County, Florida.

If that sounds radical, please note that the democrats are in trouble as well for not saving Terri's life.

Greer had super powers over the Governor of Florida, over the US Congress, the President and over the FDLE. Greer who was in defiance of the US Congress and President is the one who needs investigation and impeachment but the RINO's in Tallahassee are reluctant to do their duty.

If Terri was killed because of money and power, let us find out how RINOS like Senator Jim King went into battle against Terri with the death lobby and the national trial lawyers. Senator Jim King of Duval County should not get a pass either, not ever.

I agree, Spotted Owl.

What I heard is that King was captured by the Spanish Inquisition, flogged with cactus branches, tied spread-eagled on a hill of fire ants, trampled by 300,000 Mongolian cavalry ponies, jeered on the Oprah Winfrey show, and finally barbecued at the Whistlestop Cafe where folks said he was the most delicious barbecue they had ever tasted. There was enough for everyone to have several helpings of Jim.

It was one of the best dreams I ever had.

Don't you mean nightmare, I mean Oprah was in your dream. Never mind, she's rich, that's all that matters.

For personal reasons, I have not visited the Terri sites recently.

However, today I heard an item of interest on the radio. It seems that organ transplant recipients are being encouraged to take organs from "less than perfect" donors, i.e. elderly people.

IMHO the organ transplant industry and IVF organizations are very much suspect in the push for euthanasia. Is harvesting donor eggs from young female accident victims allowed/commonplace? Does anyone know?

I am hesitant to look for a good source of Jewish law concerning Terri because I am not familiar with what the Jewish community considers to be their leading source of information on issues. I will make a stab at it here.

Possibly others might have a better link or two.

I found an article in the Jewish Week (on-line) that had this statement to make about the halachic perspective of Terri's death.

“Those who distinguish nutrition and hydration from other forms of medical treatment note that withdrawal of this form of support is frequently an independent cause of death by ‘gradual starvation and hydration,’ and not from the underlying disease,” Ritholtz wrote.

He said that from a halachic perspective, a persistent vegetative state and Alzheimer’s disease are not terminal conditions, per se, despite the fact that they are progressive, irreversible and inevitably result in death.

“Patients with these illnesses,” Ritholtz wrote, “deserve the same full range of treatment that is made available to any other patient.”

It's a tough call, but I find being trampled by 300,000 Mongolian ponies marginally more disagreeable than appearing on Oprah. Fortunately in my dream, it was Jim King who had to suffer both of these indignities. That makes for mighty fine dreaming :-)

I have heard of egg harvesting from aborted female babies. Apparently when you are conceived, all the eggs you'll ever have are present, even as a fetus. Pretty wild. Nothing would surprise me at this point. I always thought that IVF involved at least using one's own eggs.

Well it does say

Within 30 days of receiving the proposed amendment, the Attorney General must petition the Supreme Court and request an advisory opinion regarding compliance with the proposed ballot and format requirements. The Supreme Court has no deadline for issuing an opinion.

If the Court approves the petition, the proponents must gather the rest of the signatures needed to place the initiative on the ballot. The Court may not rule on the content of the petition. They can disallow an initiative for two reasons. One reason is if the ballot summary does not accurately reflect what the amendment is proposing. The second is if it violates Florida's strict single subject requirement.

So no deadline for the Sups to issue an opinion. Theoretically one could go through all the motions, get the amendment on the ballot and approved by the voters of Florida 'then' they someone could challenge the constitutionality of the law.

Yes it's sick and those were mild compared to the majority of it. I don't think it's a lot of people either, maybe just a couple or one even.

Thank you so much, Earthdweller. What you found is so VERY crystal clear. All roads lead back to right versus wrong, don't they? And I'd say that what you've quoted in your posts regarding very clear religious stances on the death of Terri, and analogous or branched issues born due to her killing are, of like mind across the (broad) board of faith.

There is NOTHING extreme in any of these faith's, or almost every Conservative of note's, position. And for poor Terri: Death by hearsay.

And condition/location of Terri's remains, STILL unknown to family.

Reprehensible.

Can you imagine getting up everyday, not knowing where your daughter's remains are? Not being able to go lay flowers on those days when you feel like it, on those days when you need to be close to your daughter? It makes me livid.....how dare MS keep that info from them?!?!?!

I wonder how Michael's defenders, word-takers, and apologists feel in being faced THEMSELVES with what you wrote....

I am not surprised since Michael obviously is a sadistic sociopath. How perverted not to let the parents know where their daughter is buried, if anywhere. And all the nasty things Michael has done to Terri and her family!

I'm wondering why the delay on the autopsy. Can Greer keep it from the public?
