TERRI SCHINDLER (Schiavo)DAILIES May 11, 2005: DEMAND IMPEACHMENT OF JUDGE GREER

Freerepublic.com has a super-sized archive regarding Terri Schiavo. The Dailies thread is a digest of breaking news, venting, ranting, photos, prayers, poetry, contact numbers and serve as a meeting place. The daily thread runs itself for the most part.

Please put your links regarding justice for Terri on this thread or articles re: people who are waking up all the time and speaking because they've been given new treatments. Terri was denied a chance to eat by mouth at the end and she was denied new groundbreaking tests by Judge Greer. Instead, he stuck to his guns that she would be starved and dehydrated beginning on March 18th. What a man. It takes a big man to starve an innocent woman to death. This was ALL AGAINST THE FLORIDA STATUTES.

EXPOSURE IS ON THE HORIZON: Mark Fuhrman's book will be available at www.amazon.com by the end of June, 2005. Another book by Cheryl Ford, RN will be available soon.

The GOP is getting phone calls but they are not listening to their constituents on the issue of George Greer. Does the GOP endorse judicial tyranny? Ask them. Find out.

Possibly we can mend a divide in the Republican Party that is turning into a dangerous crevasse by demanding the impeachment of Judge George Greer, Sixth Circuit Court, Pinellas County, Florida.

If that sounds radical, please note that the democrats are in trouble as well for not saving Terri's life.

Greer had super powers over the Governor of Florida, over the US Congress, the President and over the FDLE. Greer who was in defiance of the US Congress and President is the one who needs investigation and impeachment but the RINO's in Tallahassee are reluctant to do their duty.

If Terri was killed because of money and power, let us find out how RINOS like Senator Jim King went into battle against Terri with the death lobby and the national trial lawyers. Senator Jim King of Duval County should not get a pass either, not ever.

http://www.theempirejournal.com/maxam_perspective.htm

(If I had the energy of Johnny Appleseed, I'd nail a copy of this commentary to every telephone pole in America. June Maxam in The Empire Journal plainly, eloquently states the case against Jeb Bush.)

"No member of the Florida judiciary can issue an order suspending the Constitutional powers of the Governor, certainly not Pinellas County Probate Judge George W. Greer. Gov. Jeb Bush was the ultimate authority at the Woodside Hospice and had the power and duty to take Terri Schiavo into protective custody. Jeb Bush did not have to fear any arrest by George Greer and if the Pinellas Park police had tried to stop the Governor: they could have been tried for an assault of the government of the state, aka insurrection.

"Judge Greer’s order that prohibited Gov. Bush and the state’s Department of Children and Families from performing their constitutional and statutory duties of protecting an abused and neglected individual and performing their mandatory duties was an unconstitutional order. No order issued by Greer or any other member of the Florida judiciary could relieve him of his Constitutional and statutory responsibilities." -- June Maxam

I wonder why Mr. Trash has those deep rings under his eyes? We can take it for granted that he's not losing sleep because of a guilty conscience. He doesn't seem to have that characteristic bulbous Clinton honker, so I doubt that he's snorting his profits either.

Maybe Jody is keeping him up nights striving for Love Child #3.

Yes, I'm certain the letter went to the UN. Did you notice that the judges here are into porn? The porn industry makes adult movies in Tampa Bay and they pal around with the Atheists of Florida. Terri didn't stand a chance with all the godless ones sitting on the bench.

Thanks for the input FV. Since it looks like it did go to the UN, may I share with you and all my fellow Freepers a letter I sent to Washington last week. Too much attached - here is the cover letter:

May 25, 2005

Senator Bill Frist 509 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator Frist,

For over a month I have intended to write this letter, first to clear up some misunderstandings and to request your follow through with a complete and total investigation of the Terri Schiavo case.

First, the Senate did NOT act on it’s own in trying to get the Case retried in Federal Court. I know that most Senators and Congressmen have been bombarded, including officials in Florida, to take action on this miscarriage of justice. WE the people have requested OUR representatives take action because ALL OF YOU represent us. To prove my point, I am attaching a copy of one of my Telephone bills.

Secondly, that Senate subpoenas can be ignored is beyond my comprehension. Really teaches young people a lesson!

Thirdly, the way the world has perceived this is not good. I have included just two of articles taken from foreign papers. We better not try to teach Human Rights anytime soon.

Fourth, the entire system in Florida should be investigated. I am attaching a few articles that prove my point. Incidentally, the only media that has honestly covered this case is The Empire Journal - I find that their material has been investigated and checked out and can be checked even further - a lot of court documents, depositions, etc., are included in Adobe format.

Rather than send copies of all the reports which would require UPS to deliver, I am including the web address of The Empire journal - perhaps you or one of your staff might like to review their inputs over the years. Inputs such as those on the attached sheet should give you some idea.

Finally, there are two more cases that are very similar - one in Florida and one in Southern California. I have attached a report on each. These need immediate attention by someone!

Please, please schedule a complete and thorough investigation. Being a senior, widow and no local family, I could well find myself in the Same situation. I am also sending copies to those listed below in hopes something can be initiated very soon. Perhaps, just maybe, the LEFT was concerned about your following up on this case and tried to use the filibuster to cloudy things up. My own opinion of course.

God bless and please know you are ALL in my prayers every day.

Sincerely,

(me)

P.S. I am enclosing a photo of a rose bush I planted in Terri’s memory. May I ask that you, in Terri’s memory, make sure this miscarriage of justice never happens again?

Enc.

Thanks for the ping. I'm still around, more or less. Won't go near the news much. I pick and choose the topics. Switched the radio from talk to music.

I happened to be talking about Terri with someone today. It all seems like a lifetime ago....

Reaching out to Terri's family renewed my faith

By Theresa May de Vera

Several years ago, when The Terri Schiavo Foundation was looking for individuals who had gone through similar experiences as Terri, I wrote to them. In 1996 I suffered a severe asthma attack, lapsed into a coma for three months and was declared to be in a severe vegetative state. I regained consciousness three months later.

My letters of support to Terri's family began a friendship between her siblings and me. Her brother and I used to talk on the phone regularly. He once said, "It's quite ironic that both of you suffered similar ordeals, and you are both named Theresa." Since then, I was active in Terri's Fight.

In late February of this year, the Schindler family attorney asked me if I would testify on Terri's behalf should they be granted a hearing. I accepted the challenge without any hesitation. On March 19, when Terri's feeding tube was removed, I knew that was my call to action.

I was not comfortable watching the television coverage 24 hours a day from my home in Los Angeles. I felt that if there was anything that I could do to help, I would. I convinced my mom to fly out with me to Clearwater, Fla. and we took the red-eye out.

Actually seeing the television coverage and being there were two polar opposites. The atmosphere around Woodside Hospice, where Terri resided, was very emotional. The police presence was rampant and intimidating. People stood in solidarity --- we had daily Mass, prayer services, and shared tears. Every day there were about 200 protestors, ranging in age from infants to 85; in other words, it was all about life. The media lined the opposite side of the street where about 10 news vans and 100 roaming photographers anticipated that next photo opportunity.

A woman was generous enough to close her flower shop across the street from the hospice, which became a shelter for the Schindler family. As soon as they met me, Robert Schindler (Terri's father) embraced me and began to cry. Suzanne (Terri's sister) and I now have this lifelong bond. Mary (Terri's mother) stepped out of a press conference to meet me.

Yet, the time spent there was not about me; it was about trying to save an innocent individual from a cruel and inhumane death. The devotion of the volunteers and protestors spoke marvels about the human character.

Volunteers and protestors staged their own hunger strikes and camped out for 24-hour vigils. Children were arrested for trying to bring Terri food and water. I found this very touching, because Adam (one of the children handcuffed) said, "I'd rather be arrested for doing something that I know is right, rather than being arrested for committing a wrong."

People came from all across the U.S. Many, like me, are survivors in wheelchairs trying to show the nation that where there is life, there is hope. Although Terri could not speak, her voice and spirit to live was evident as she lasted 13 days without any food, hydration or nutrition. We brought a message from the Right to Life League of Southern California that euthanasia is wrong and a violation of one's inalienable right to life.

What did I learn from my trip to Florida?

For the first time, I was able to see a family go through what my family went through back in 1996, and I thank them for allowing me to share in their heartache. I also left with a deeper appreciation for my faith. The Schindler family is devout, and they turned to their faith at this most difficult time and came to the acceptance that "God loves Terri more than they do."

I gained a stronger understanding of suffering, and how one woman's life and her family's fight to save her brought a consciousness to America as to the fragility and sanctity of life. Terri Schindler-Schiavo and the Schindler family's faith and hope to keep her alive spoke wonders of an inalienable bond that America should and needs to embrace in terms of "family values."

It's both humbling and sad that I am able to write an article about a woman whom I never met, but the whole world knew, a woman whose only crime was being disabled and having no voice of her own. Where do we draw the line?

Theresa May de Vera is a parishioner of St. Dominic Church in Eagle Rock. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in political science in 2004, and recently completed the LMU certificate program in pastoral care.
