Why is this criminal seditionist not jailed?
You can't be jailed in this country just for being an ass.
Occasionally you will read or hear about comments on the War in Iraq which are profoundly stupid. A case in point was written by Lloyd Hart entitled "I Cannot Support the Troops."
There are only two defects with his letter. He is a political bigot who wants the government of the US to fall and be replaced by a socialist one. And he is profoundly ignorant of international law and the Law of War in particular.
If he was any kind of scholar, he would recognize that the reasons and actions of the President and Congress are nearly identical today, as they were in 1805, when Congress authorized the President to go after the Barbary Pirates.
But Mr. Hart is an uneducated fool. So disregard his letter.
Do your job well, as you already have. Stay safe. Return as soon as you can.
