A poorly written Bill and bad lawyering will result in Terry's death.

I'm beginning to conclude the same. Re: the bill -- it's the best the leaders in the House and Senate could get with the Party of Death probably promising a filibuster. Re: bad lawyering -- after all this time, you'd think the Schindler's attorneys would have figured out how to plead a case in court.

The law congress passed required the courts to hear the case from the beginning as if a new trial. The courts ignored a law passed by our representative government. That doesn't bother you at all? I can't believe so many conservatives have absolutely no problem with the courts ignoring laws passed by the executive branch and doing what ever they damn well please. If Congress passed a law that we can drill in Alaska, and the courts threw it out - or if Congress passed a law making marriage between a man and a woman, and the courts threw it out, you'd be in an outrage. But in this case it's fine for the courts to ussurp power from another branch of government? mind boggling

But HE IS HER HUSBAND, and as flawed as he might be, he's still the one who gets to make the final call.

But Mikey didn't make the final call.

Greer did. Greer ordered Terri's feeding tube to be removed on a certain day at a certain time. Greer did not say Mikey could have the tube removed if and when he wanted.

Mikey wasn't even present when the tube was removed [I'll bet that was to avoid culpability -- Why not let the medical people share some of the guilt?]

Think of Mikey as Judas only instead of kissing Terri physically he gave Terri the kiss of death when he gave his sworn testimony about her "wishes" to Greer. (Remember: That testimony contradicted his sworn testimony when he was trying to get malpractice money.)

This is like Murder on the Orient Express --- so many people are involved, that it is hard to pin the blame on any one person. I first noticed the "Orient Express'" similarity, today, when Felos publicly "thanked" the ACLU and some others for helping him with the case.

Watch for Felos to finger more accomplices soon.

You'd think Congress would at least say they want to subpoena Mikey for a hearing so they can investigate the possibility that Michael was abusing steroids around the time Terri "collapsed."

Very few folks objected to that kind of investigation.

The law congress passed required the courts

Unfortunately, the word was 'requested', not 'required'.

The word used was "shall" as in review the whole case again, and the courts simply disregarded the law, the evidence, the will of the people, thats why we need the President to enforce the law. especially when an unprecedented act by the courts like starving a conscious American to death.

They have weak attorneys. In this kind of case you have to have an attorney that walks around with big STICK and knows the constitution by heart.

I don't think so. The Senate version said "may", while Sensenbrenner wanted "shall". The House had to settle on passing the same version as the Senate's because of the hurry. As you may recall, there was no Senate/House conference, nor did the Senate ever meet again.

I don't want to see her die. I wish her husband took care of her better than he has. But HE IS HER HUSBAND, and as flawed as he might be, he's still the one who gets to make the final call.

1. Michael Sh** Head refused to allow any form of physical therapy.

2. He insisted that she be kept in a dark room with the blinds closed for years.

3. He refused her friends and visitors.

4. He refused to let her have flowers from friends and family.

5. He refused for her to get medical attention for infection.

I could go on and on, but those are just the few I could pull off the top of my head. By your logic, I should be able to neglect my kids, lock them in a dark room, deny them an education and still have all my parental rights. M.S. has abused his role as guardian and should have his position revoked.

What is it about this post that is out of line?
You can bet if Clinton was president and something was going to happen he didn't want he would do something positive.
And I despise Bill Clinton. But he got things done.
