Terri Schiavo's parents will be holding a news conference at 12 pm central.
If the tube were to be removed would her parents even be informed?
If she dies..will her parents be informed?
Wouldn't that be cruel. The ones who gave her life excluded to the extent that they'd not even be informed of her death.
I support marriage and spousal rights, but there comes a point when other next of kin should also have access.
Maybe they will get the can of her ashes as the final insult.
PING
Could they at least give her a CAT scan before they decide that she's too inconvenient to let live? No one has done that or an MRI. The parents aren't allowed and the husband in name only won't let anyone do it.
Thank you for posting this! Do we have a live feed anywhere?
I'm thinking they will in the LEAST appeal for her to receive the Sacraments...
So the hearing today is whether or not Greer is going to honor the supoenas (sp)?
I am thinking that the 5 subpoenas to appear before the Senate Health etc Committee will have been received by then and they will be announcing GOOD NEWS.
Florida Statute 744.3215 (Rights of Persons Determined Incapacitated) forbids depriving Terri of food and water, a felony.
Florida Statute 765.404 requires the diagnosis of persistent vegetative state be determined as permanent prior to withdrawal of life prolonging means. Judge Greer has refused any further definitive tests (MRI) to ascertain Terris current status.
Florida Statute 765.309 prevents mercy killing and assisted suicide.
Florida Statute 765.404 calls for clear and convincing evidence of a wards intent concerning life and death medical decisions.
Will US Marhsals arrest anyone who tries to carry out Judge Greer's starvation order?
With all the advance notice on the subpoenas, what if they avoid being served?
17 physicians and medical specialists have signed affidavits believing her condition will improve with proper therapy. Nobel Prize nominee Dr. William Hammesfahr has examined Terri and states her injury is a type of stroke that he treats everyday with success.
Try here, I got the Miami one goin now, the MSNBC one would probably be a good guess too (haven't checked to see if the link is still good).
Link would help

Do you have a link for this info??? I am arguing with someone about Terri and this would be very helpful to convince this person. Thanks!
I simply cannot imagine the horror that her parents are having to endure.
Will it be televised (Fox Broadcast, CBS, NBC, ABC, CSPAN)?

Terri Schiavo's injury, hypoxic encephalopathy, is a type of stroke that he treats every day with success. Today, Dr. Hammesfahr made the following statement regarding Terri Schindler Schiavo:
"There are many approaches that would help Terri Schiavo. I know, because I had the opportunity to personally examine her, her medical records, and her X-rays. It is time to help Terri, instead of just warehousing her. She would have benefited from treatment years ago, but it is not to late to start now."-- Dr. William Hammesfahr
