The two words "simply" and "wrong" do not seem to go together these days. The notion of "simply wrong" does not reflect the nuanced moral zeitgeist. Simplicity is not fashionable. "Wrong" is not fashionable. "Simply wrong" is antiquated, backwards, wrongheaded, and does not fit the modern moral sensibility. Why is it that a pop-star can dangle a child from a balcony with repercussion? After all, endangering the life of a child is "simply wrong" is it not? Why does a senator think he can compare his political rivals from the floor of the senate to the NAZIs? This is "simply wrong" is it not? How can the Connecticut legislature consider equating homosexuality to normal relationships? Homosexuality is "simply wrong" is it not?
"Not that there's anything wrong with that..." is a tag line from the Seinfeld show. It was used comically for those situations wherein the characters tried to distance themselves consciously from a judgment of right vs. wrong. The tag line implies that the characters would not engage in a particular set of behaviors themselves, may even be repulsed by the behaviors, but simultaneously wished to express the nouveau morality of the left. In nouveau morality acceptance and non-judgementalism trump traditional values. The irony of this position is that anyone who does not accept nouveau morality is labeled "immoral." Arbitrary morality therefore trumps the morality of the ages. For the left "simply wrong" is trumped by "not that there's anything wrong with that..." If there is nothing wrong, why say it?
Let's face it, homosexuality is simply wrong. It is corruption right to it's very marrow. Even its symbolism is corrupt...

No dude, telling people what to do is simply wrong.
Frankly, if a bunch of gays want to ponce up 1st Ave. and then go to a gay bar and have sex while on copious amounts of crystal meth then so be it. I really don't care. If you care then you are either a closet case or need to mind your own damn business. That's one of the problems with this country these days, too many people sticking their nose into other people's business. Take your nanny-state socialism elsewhere.
I won't get USED to it. What people do in their privacy is their own business.
If the homosexuals kept it private themselves your statement would be true, but, they are not! They have entered our government, pushing for all kinds of special rights, our schools teaching our children to "try it they might like it" with full instructions on the joys of fisting, and in our churches who can't even quote the bible without some homo threatening to sue for hate speech!
Now obviously econ-grad you have been fully indoctrinated to believe the phrase "NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT", and add the fact that you are probably too young to have children or grandchildren but I do. AND I do not want some homosexual teaching my grandchildren that homosexuality is normal, safe and fun, when in fact it is a psychotic, detrimental to their health and morally despicable.
"The BGLTSA, as a wing of the radical homosexual movement, is looking to broaden the definition of normality to include deviant behavior. They're not looking for passive tolerance. They're looking for active acceptance. Now, ignoring homosexuality is no longer allowable; we must instead champion it, equating it with heterosexuality. In fact, homosexuality must be prized over heterosexuality; an open homosexual may proclaim to his heart's content that "dreams can come true -- you can find a same-sex partner," but an open heterosexual may not state that marriage constitutes "having it all."
Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan noted such a broad societal trend toward normalizing the deviant as early as 1993, when he coined the term "defining deviancy down." He posited that "the amount of deviant behavior in American society has increased beyond the levels the community can 'afford to recognize' and that, accordingly, we have been re-defining deviancy so as to exempt much conduct previously stigmatized, and also quietly raising the 'normal' level in categories where behavior is now abnormal by any earlier standard."
Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer pointed out that alongside the movement to "define deviancy down," there was a concurrent movement to "define deviancy up": "As part of the vast social project of moral leveling, it is not enough for the deviant to be normalized," Krauthammer wrote. "The normal must be found to be deviant." One of the agendas of the "defining deviancy up" movement, Krauthammer noted, was promoting "an underlying ideology about the inherent aberrancy of all heterosexual relationships."
The Moynihan-Krauthammer prediction has come to pass. Straight men and women may no longer consider themselves normal, unless they also consider homosexuality normal. The rage against "heteronormalism" is rage against traditional societal standards as a whole. Exclusive morality has always offended the immoral. The only difference is that now offensiveness receives a stiffer societal sentence than blatant immorality. This is what political correctness -- the "live and let live" societal model -- has wrought.
The rise of the homosexual movement is a textbook example of societal amorality devolving into societal immorality. The rationale behind societal amorality is the myopic question: "How does my immoral behavior hurt you?" The answer is: It may not, in the short term. But when society sanctions your immoral behavior, that does hurt me. If millions of people accept the deviant as normal, that reshapes society in vastly destructive ways. Your moral self-destruction may have no consequences for me, but destruction of societal standards always has consequences.
When the stigma left single motherhood, society felt the sting in rising rates of single motherhood and juvenile crime. When the stigma left sexual licentiousness, society felt the sting in rising rates of teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted disease, emotional emptiness and nihilism. Your immoral personal behavior may not affect me, but exempting your immoral behavior from societal scrutiny certainly does. A society without standards is an unhappy, unhealthy society -- a society with no future. And all of us have to live in that society.
The BGLTSA isn't asking for tolerance on a person-to-person level. Instead, they're asking us to continue lowering societal standards. If we must choose between alienating the immoral and ravaging societal standards for the personal comfort of the immoral, then choosing the former is the only rational decision. "

I DO
How is saying that homosexuality is "wrong" telling them what to do? IF they indeed were keeping it to themselves, why would they be "parading" up a street? The truth is that homosexuals want their sin to be accepted by the country. I'll mind my own business when they stop trying to reach the children in schools with their agenda, and when they stop trying to rearrange the institute of marriage. This is anything but "their own business".
Absolutely right.

What happens when we sit back and let there be no wrong and no right? Is everything okey so long as it is done in PRIVATE? Come on!!! That opens the door for anything and everything to go on. As is the case right now in our country.
Many of us were accepting of homosexuals who stayed in the closet, but they didn't, like gangbusters they got in our face with WERE NORMAL-JUST LIKE YOU.
The don't ask and don't tell provision allowed homosexuals to creep into all sorts of roles such as MEDIA, GOVERNMENT, RELIGION, MILATARY, SCHOOLS and then loudly proclaim "WERE HERE, WERE QUEER, GET USE TO IT!!!!"
Then I suggest you find another hobby.
naH.......................................
THIS IS TOO MUCH FUN!
I am so glad you think so about my age, but I am probably as old as you are. Lets just say I went to Kennedy's inauguration.
If you don't like what homosexuals are doing in school, pull your grandkids out of school. Push for vouchers and home schooling. It is wrong for homosexuals to proselytize, just like it is wrong for you to tell them what to do in their bedroom. Are they going to hell? Maybe. But, who cares? They will be dead by then.
Then I suggest you find a different hobby.
Hollywierd promotes the homosexual agenda including gay marriage, plain and simple. If Hollywood promoted pedophilia, incest, and interspecies sex, eventually these perversions would have an even bigger following. If Hollywood promoted Nambla.org, this sick organization would eventually be considered mainstream normal and those that object would be hateful bigots. The predictable Hollywood sitcom scenario for the simple-minded would be; the pervert is extremely intelligent, caring, sensitive and likeable while the opposition is portrayed as narrow-minded, dimwitted, evil, bigoted, and detestable. The perverted acts (ie rimming, fisting, gerbiling, enemas, wearing the AIDS badge of courage) are generally concealed from public view and the scientific facts of early morbidity and mortality are categorically ignored. Male homosexual lifespan is equivalent to heroin addict lifespanthese are the nasty facts that get in the way of the agenda.
....did you see any mention of me tell them what to do in their bedroom??? You take my words out of context! I could care less what they do in a bedroom.
If you don't like what homosexuals are doing in school, pull your grandkids out of school
You think I have the power to do that? That is up to their parents. Besides, the LORD tells us to take care of all the children, not just our own.
I object to indoctrination for yours and others children or grandchildren as well as my own!
Even if my grandchildren were pulled from public school, my tax dollars are paying for the teaching that homosexuality is normal, when it is in fact a vile and disease ridden action that cost us tax payers millions!
