I'm glad I posted correctly. I need to go somewhere to share my political views. The wife is misguided and stays away from the world of politics.

Is she misguided BECAUSE she stays away from politics, or misguided IN her politics?

Sometimes I think it is wisest to stay away from the world of politics. I tell myself all the time "it's time to stop staying up-to-date with what's going on in the world."

But then something exciting and good happens like the Iraq elections and I'm glad I stayed plugged in.

But some stories, like the UN sex scandal, the modern slave trade in general, and cruelty to animals stories take me to the limit.

It's probably good that your wife isn't into it so you can get away from it if you need to.

Still, it would be nice if people who didn't pay attention to stuff would take a voter safety class before casting their votes.
