An even funnier thing is that these people want to start a revolution yet because of their efforts, starting a revolution would be next to impossible.

You need automatic weapons, trained snipers, body armor peircing bullets, a bulky, lean, and well-fed army.

Auto weapons are highly restricted and those that have auto weapons are all right-wing.

You can only get trained snipers when they've retired out of the armed forces. Guess where most of them lean? Yup, right wing.

Same for the posessors of armor peircing bullets. Bulky, lean and well fed armies have to eat meat.

I'd say if there were a revolution, we'd win hands down.

You must remember that they are just like the Islamicists. Every lie is uttered simply to reinforce their ideology in their own minds, since they are unable to support it in reality. Muslims arrange every story into an assault on their faith. Liberals set every story into a Hitler-vs-Bambi unconscionable evisceration. Neither actually ACT on the lies, until they absolutely have to. They far prefer whining and threatening until some poor fool agrees to do their work for them. (like the request for the Candaian-bound to keep their voter registration active. Nothing like asking a pal to commit a felony!)

.....a second Great Depression that makes the first one look like a minor glitch.

Actively rooting for it is not going to make it happen.

"If the revolution is left to Nimrod and his ilk, it ain't happening any time soon."

Oh, now that's funny. Such silly people talking about REVOLUTION in such dramatic terms - So self-important, so much better thathe rest of us poor idiots. Sadly, I see this kind of talk almost on a daily basis here in occupied California.

I asked a silly spewing neighbor the other day how she expected to spark a revolution when her side didn't believe in owning weapons - silence. I also remarked that I didn't think that gun-owning republicans would allow rampaging progressives to threaten their families without putting up a fight (she knows I own several weapons).

The look was kind of a deer in the headlights, trapped look as the realization set in. In the end, she resolved out loud to move to Canada. I told her that I would help her pack if she promised to renounce her citizenship.

She will never move.

"It's very bleak. I don't have much hope. But then I think that at some point, the pendulum has to start swinging back the other way."

NOTICE TO DUmmie! The pendulum has been swinging your way for 40+ years and has only just begun to swing the 'right' way. If you loons are waiting for it to again swing your way, don't hold your breath.

On second thought why don't you hold your breath all of you.

"ROFL....you are so mean..."

It is all very entertaining. This neighbor is about as brainwashed as a "progressive" can be, yet likes to talk over the fence because I'm one of the only conservatives she knows and I'm really not the right-wing maniac that her brainwashing expects me to be.

This is a woman who operates on pure, liberal emotion and I cannot resist poking her in the eye every chance I get. It's too easy. Get this, she has a Kerry sticker and a Greenpeace sticker on the back window of her SUV!!! Yet she feels justified because she has kids and it is so hard getting them in and out of a small car like they want the rest of us to drive. I always try to steer things back to the "fact" that she is destroying the environment. Fish in a barrel.

A couple of months ago I came across posts on another liberal site encouraging people to meet for discussions on secession from the Union. I assume they were sincere. Anyway, one guy posted a message claiming he was interested, but then asked if the important meetings could be arranged around his schedule. It seemed he had set times to be in and out of town. "Please schedule the revolution at my convenience!"

I constantly come across folks on DU rooting for bad news. They believe enough of it will cause a groundswell of negative public opinion, culminating in a torch and pitchfork-weilding crowd overruning the White House. They think they're characters in Les Miserables.

16. Why are you still sitting there in front of your computer?

What if they held a revolution... and nobody came.

I just have to quote PJ for this one: [LOUSEY FREEPER TROLL!!!]

.....a second Great Depression that makes the first one look like a minor glitch.

Kinda sums up their whole attitiude, doesn't it? Their hatred has become so intense that they must constantly hope that evil befalls the U.S. so they can make political hay out of it.

I can only hope that some of them will come to their senses.

And if they ever lose their lock on the black vote, they will go the way of the Whigs.

Did Kerry get the usual Dem percentage of the black vote this time around? I haven't seen those stats, but my guess would be the answer is yes. I thought the same-sex marriage issue might shift the traditional lines a little.

"History shows us that before conflicts such as wars and revolutions can happen, there needs to be a catalyst that ignites enough public outrage to perpetually fuel such an act."

There would definitely be public outrage. Against you!!!

Most importantly, I have a disabled child. Will they come for him some day because he's not perfect?!

What nerve and hypocrisy, considering that the looney liberal left are the ones who have no respect for the sanctity of life, they are the ones who clamored for abortion on demand,at the taxpayer's expense at that, and are pushing for euthanasia laws,so they can "choose" to kill their unwanted burdensome elderly parents or disabled children. These people are living through the looking glass, accusing others of the very faults and crimes they scream for the right to commit.
