Hey all, The blackout has been lifted..OOORAH!!! My squad is back on base, after 6 lo-o-o-o-ong days!!! Only a couple "hairy" moments....no one (Seabees or Marines) got hurt!! There's power in prayer, that's for sure!!!
We had a reporter with the Los Angeles Times (Tony Perry) "embedded" with us today...as we completed our (last)mission. Look for the story to come out in the LA Times tomorrow or Thursday!! Imagine that, a reporter imbedded with the Seabees....(lol)
Needless to say, we're worn out.....!!! Hopefully, I'll get a good nights sleep...in "my" rack tonite!!! OOORAH!!! One thing about it, being here really gives you a different perspective on how well off we are back home....God is so good!
They've given us the day off tomorrow, Wednesday to recouperate I defintely need it...this IS a young man's game!!!
Looks like in (about) 30 days some of us will start to "retrograde" back the way we came....to be processed thru the Combat Stress/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder interviews. Then it's on to sunny southern California!!!! :)
How's the song go?...I've done my time I'm coming home....(lol)
Okay....too corny! Sorry! That's what happens when you go days without sleep!!!
I'll write more later!!! Thanks again for all your thoughts, prayers and support!!! Could not do this without you and them!!!!
Take care God Bless Larry
Larry and his brothers in arms are being prayed for and supported by so many here and around the nation. I am so grateful for their service to our country.
