Strange. I feel exactly the same way about the Glenn Beck show.

Whew! I was beginning to think I just didn't get it with Beck. I can't stand him! He's NOT funny and he is irritating.

I feel the same way. He yells to much, for starters.

Glenn Beck is the WORST! A couple of months ago he was doing DUMB Game Show shtick so I refused to listen to that banal garbage until last week when I decided to give him one more try. Big mistake. He was doing even MORE boring game show shtick again. Something about where the callers had to call him "Flap Jackson." Terrible stuff. Beck is the radio equivalent of slamming a pie in your own face for cheap (and boring) laughs.

Beck has moments where I think he's hilarious - I particularly love a lot of his satirical sketches. But then he goes off on these weird maudlin tangents that just leave me scratching my head.

Rush is funny because he mocks the high and mighty pretenses of liberal crackpots, generally without being mean about it.

Beck's whole schtick basically is mocking the foibles of his fellow man. And yammering incessantly about his personal issues, how bad he used to be and how insightful he is now that he quit drinking-- which he ought to be saving for an AA meeting somewhere instead of inflicting on his audience.

It seems that he is the only thing you can get in Florida! I visited there and every show I wanted to listen to was in the "static hour" except his 3-hour show! Booo!
