Among the facts that are withheld : Beryllium 10 analysis in polar ice cores in Alfred-Wegener-Institut in Bremerhaven , Germany, shows human life a few thoudand years was IMPOSSIBLE on earth.

The magnetic poles switching from north to south or vice versa is nothing new.

Since when do airplanes is featurless ares like the south atlantic navigate with compasses?

I'm up near Boston. Presuming that South America is a rough mirror image of North America (okay, VERY rough mirror image)
can't I just move and trade places with, say, some family roughly in the same longitude and opposite latitude? Perhaps,
for Boston, it would be Barrancas or San Salvador in Argentina.

My sincere apologies for clicking on POST an extra time.
The bandwith I am wasting for casual remarks is troubling.

All right, to be fair, the magnetic field is definitely weakening.
But, to suggest that it will reverse soon is dishonest. It likely will take another thousand years or morer

Doesn't make sense:
Ya don't have to change a route just because the magnetic compass doesn't work as well as it used to over the south Atlantic.
You, may, however, have to change HOW you navigate (GPS for example, or inertial nav systems) but the ROUTE stays the same.

There was a Nova episode on PBS this past year describing this phenomena. Although it sounds incredibly ominous, the problems won't affect humans too much.
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/magnetic/
We will lose a chunk of protection from harmful rays, necessitating more sunscreen. It will make compass navigation unreliable in places, as the magnetic pole reversal occurs in a "splotchy," random way over time until it just all flips over. This will affect animals much more, as migration patterns will be affected until the birds relearn their paths.
We can't do anything to change it, so we must live with it. At least the Aurora Borealis will be a common sight!

Magnetic Pole Flip, latest news : among the facts that are now revealed to the public : the magnetic field over the South Atlantic Ocean is now so weak that planes and satelites have now been forced to change their routes.
ROFLMAO.
Other than minor tweaks satellites really have a limited ability to change their orbits at all. Geostationary satellites are always over one place on the equator. And it's impossible for polar-orbiting sats to avoid going over areas of the earth. And they don't use compasses to navigate either.
And airliners generally aren't navigating by magnetic compass either.
This is all pure BS.
To: Truth666
Not quite. The article says that nobody really knows what happened 780,000 years ago, whether there were more mutations or a die-off or what. But saying a "few thousand" grossly understates the timeframe involved.
