Republican Dilemma in 2008

Regardless of how you choose to define the word "liberal" or "conservative," if you let a single issue control that definition, then you defeat the purpose of the word. I know Senator McCain to be a lot more conservative by most everyones standards and definitions, than many classified as pro life in congress.

American Conservative union gives him a life time rating of 84%. I do not suggest that their ratings should be considered definitive. But I would hardly call him a "liberal."

At any rate, I'm quite glad to see that their is a conservative opposition to him. I do not wish to vote democrat in the future.

Sen. George Allen, as former governor of VA, has executive experience. Gov. Mitt Romney, as a Mormon, is almost certain to be pro-life. I'd pay to see Sec. Condoleezza Rice take on Sen. Hillary Clinton. Rice would crush the World's Smartest Woman with half her brain tied behind her back.

Why is it that cowville, VA (a/k/a Harrisoncow, etc.) and its locals (a/k/a hillbillies) choose to vote Republican? I would think they and their 1200 toothless children would need to suck the government boobie.
