If even just 5% of the Democratic Party really thinks like these people at DU do, the Dems are in for a really rough time. They are going to lose many more elections and the schools and cities where these folks live and vote are going to just disintegrate.

Pretty sad when you think about the kind of kids these people must be raising. Hateful of everyone that disagrees with them and of everything that does not go their way. So much for the party of tolerance and diversity!

they will understand why we can do more for them than the GOP can. The GOP doesn't help them

My Dad, raised in OK and TX during the depression, taught me that if someone was weak and needed a hand, that it was my responsibility, as a good neighbor, to lend a hand, that it was my job, not the government's job. He said the only thing government ever gave away was other people's money-taken by force. Is that what your screen name is about?

He also taught me that I should always strive to be a person more worthy of the respect than compassion of others.

The DUers are upset because these proud midwesterners don't want to sellout their principles for handouts.
