someone on another thread said Kerry lied better than Bush told the truth. Kerry had the advantage like a terrorist in some respects. He can sit on the side, use alot of disparate facts unrelated to a general view of things and pound away. He was like a sunday morning quarterback. I wanted the Pres to say that a war wasnt perfect, it wasn;t a movie and that this is an ongoing battle and there will be mistakes, things not done as fast as we want them, etc. I wanted the Pres to say it is easy to run a war in retro when you aren;t the man in the big chair. I dont think this debate changed any minds, I really don;t

Kerry called the war in Iraq a diversion.
Then he said he would have built a better coalition for it.


Dubya's response was a classic;


"How do you ask, Come join us for the Grand Diversion?"
