Blog investigation of possible DNC Forgery-gate relationship needed? The big question is: Did members of the DNC or Kerry’s campaign staff provide CBS with the forged Bush documents?
CBS is obviously going to stonewall the story. But I think that a properly performed investigation by the BLOG should be able to uncover the truth.
What are some of the mitigating factors?
1. DNC members are reported to have mentioned that they were producing their anti-Bush (Privileged Child) smear campaign, which contained CBS materials, weeks before the 60 MINUTE Bush smear story came out.
2. A Dallas newspaper is reported to have said that months ago Democrat operatives made statements that were similar to material included in the CBS memos.
So how should one of the Blob sights go about reviewing the case? It would have to be a circumstantial case review. Blog members would have to go back (possibly months) and look for statements made by DNC and Kerry supporters which are too related to the CBS memos to have been coincidental.
Key terms like “Sugar coating” “Killian CYA personal memos” “ Pressure by Staut (sp?)” and on and on.
I think that there provably was a connection. And I feel that if CBS admits it, that it will be a crushing defeat for the DNC and CBS. So CBS will never reveal the connection. But if there is and it was revealed it could also may be a major step in returning a free independent press to America.
Former CBS executive Kline said that, the Blog-sphere is a bunch of guys in their pajamas. Kline has no idea that the Blog is a quantum leap in investigative power. The Blog is a million minds interconnected via the Internet. The Blog has created a new human consciousness a thousand times more powerful than CBS or the New York Times.
I compliment the Blog on the superb job it did in exposing the CBS forgery-gate story.
Now that the Blog has become self-aware, it is time for it to turn it’s amazing problem solving power to the question of whether political partisans intentionally forged the documents to help undermine America’s democratic process.
In other words, "What did McAuliff know and when did he know it?"
Maybe Terry can finally join the other Global Crossing swindlers in the federal pen.
Let's put the shoe on the other foot for a minute. If this
were a GOP scandal would the DNC or any Democrat activist
allow for the possibility that it was generated by a ren-
egade Republican acting on his own? Don't bet the franchise
on it. Hell, as it is, some of the Dems are trying to lay
this gigantic Democrat mess at the foot of the evil Rove.
When are the GOP spokespersons going to start pointing the
BIG finger at McAwful? Probably never.....not our style.
But, I wouldn't be bothered too much if they did.

I am afraid that you are exactly right. Your reference to the BORG is a near perfect metaphor. The difference of course is that it is up to us to see that moral barriers (as Jung would say) contain the Blog.s intellectual power while the Borg was an amoral intellectual entity.
But your Borg metaphor raises a VERRY,VERRY important question! Possibly the most critical problem for us to solve.
Here is the problem that we conservative blogers will have to solve. Politically there are two blogs, a conservative one, and a liberal one. The Conservative Blog has a preponderance of members who have strong Judeo-Christian (and hopefully in the future reformed Moslem) members. And since they are guided by the concept that they have a responsibility to be truthful,it should be fairly easy to keep the Conservative Blog targeted in a moral direction.
But the liberal Blog has a lager number of socialist members. And as Lenin use to say: The truth is whatever story best helps the party. Or a Stalin said (Oaths are like eggs they were made to be broken) Consequently it will have be the responsibility of the Conservative Blog not only to morally control itself, it will have to also control the less than honest tendencies of the liberal blog.(If we don't the liberal blog realy will become the Borg) ( A point that needs to be made is that REAL Liberals are just as likely to have strong Judeo-Christian values as Conservatives are, but real liberals (like Thomas Jefferson) seem to be few and far between now)
The war of the Blogs has already started. It is up to us (the members of the Conservative blog) to do our duty. So set your briefcase down, take that tie off, change in to your SUPER BLOGGER pajamas and think and type, think and type.
As hinted at else where around the dial in bits and pieces, the CBS memos may have been part of a three part scheme (CBS, a 527?, & DNC) to bring down President Bush.
The opening leg was to be the (wednesday) 60 Minutes memos, followed the next Monday by the Kitty Kelly book and GMA interviews, with Favorite Son ad mopping up.
One leg was suppose to build on another until the pressure on the President in the MSM build to a cresendo drowning out all other stories and consuming the public attention throughout September and driving confidence and faith in President Bush through the floor.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) for the scheme, the first leg was broken the moment it was unvailed, causing such a furor that legs two and three have gone largely unnoticed.
