I know nothing of this theory - sounds like bunk to me.
I always thought that Native American culture was interesting - especially if they were isolated from the rest of mankind for so long. So much is so similar to other cultures.
Makes me think that maybe migration was happening allot more recently - though I am NO expert.

So the odds are high that there were small migrations occuring long before Columbus.
