VANITY: The "Truth" about JimRob and Free Republic according to BADJOE

Dear Free Republic Friends,

My old friend and brother-in-arms BADJOE has promised to warm the cockles of our hearts by publishing an expose (the truth about JimRob and Free Republic according to Joe) on the 18th of this month, which represents the one year anniversary of the date he last posted to FreeRepublic.com and started up with LibertyPost.org.

So, as I believe that only the truth can set you free, and based upon the stratergery of pre-emptive strike, I have a confession to make (before BADJOE makes it public):

I have poisoned the well.

By my sly innuendos behind the scenes.

By my intellectual ineptitude.

By not trusting those that brung me to the dance to bring me home.

By my biting every hand that fed me.

By my arrogance that causes me to think I did it all by myself.

By my stubborness not because of principle, but because of my lack of ability to see what is transpiring.

Evidenced by:

One would think that with half again as many Freepers. with a recovering economy, It would take a great deal less time to raise the necessary funds.

By this time in the June 2002 effort with a goal of $70,000 we had raised $73,000. Not because of who did the fundraising, but because the sense of purpose, of family, of comaraderie, was still present.

BADJOE rang the warning bell, but none heard.

Conclusion:

It is a sad day.

For what was once a great hope, a means of bringing together those who are willing to pay dearly in blood, sweat, and money to save this country, we all love, has been reduced to an asterisk.

So sayeth BADJOE as he promises to publish all this and much more on the 18th. He's been feverishly working on this "project" for one full year. In addition to the "truth about JimRob" BADJOE intends to further betray our trust placed in him by revealing the names of our moderators. And who knows what else?

I can hardly wait.

I think that's a fair definition.

It's mind-boggling to me that you've been stalked by Creationists and defended by Evolutionists, given that your own understanding of the orgins of life is more squarely with the former than the latter.

I guess that your admirable efforts in putting together this thread, Draft Agreement for Science Thread Posters, are just another set of evidence for old axioms about good deeds and punishment.

It's a worthy effort anyway.

Like I said, established groups develop certain things, habits, styles, response behaviours -- such as cliques -- that can be quite oppressive at times. If an establishment does not have a vent, an alternative, it will -- to my belief -- almost certainly self-destruct.

bvw, you and I have been on opposite sides of issues and we've been on the same side of a few issues; and I know what the Biker Bar started out as, a place that Neil and Goldi put the hate FR threads because they were clogging up the main forum.

Everybody over here knows that Todd puts his threads there because he knows people at FR read it.


He just doesn't have sense enough to know that the only reason people read them is because they're so incredibly ridiculous it's good for a daily laugh.

I thought so as well, Howlin. I had no misgivings against Alamo Girl at all. But, as she stood by while our Christianity was questioned and belittled and then started misusing Scripture to refer to us as "false prophets" and others as "blaspheming the Holy Spirit" all the while giving "huggies" to the evo-thug who carries with him the mark of the beast, I found out differently. When she tried to go back to that "other" website to dig up dirt on goodseedhomeschool (the other site being a site that she was a member of at one time and was obviously well enough familiar with as to know what goodseed had said on their threads), flags started going up. But, I TRULY gave her the benefit of the doubt until she started misusing Scripture. Others were telling me differently, but I refused to make a judgment until that point (weeks into the debate, mind you). She has a "good" reputation due to her downside legacy. I HAD a good reputation due to my prayer thread. I was even nominated for "miss congeniality" one year in the Freeper awards, and I've received comments from others that they can't believe that I now am in danger of being banned. The very fact that I am posting this will now likely get me banned. But, I know the truth Alamo Girl. And, you know I know that I know the truth. I have also spoken it, and you aren't the only one who saves threads and can back things up. I never claimed our group was perfect. I did ask for fair and equal treatment. It doesn't appear I have a sympathetic ear here in any regard, so that is the last I will address the issue on this thread. Flame away boys and girls. I'm outta here.

My "venting" mechanism from FreeRepublic is right outside my door - there's plenty of tree limbs and land to clear on my property, plenty of wrenches to turn, etc. I've also got a video editing project I'm working on, but that has been known to raise my BP much more quickly than anything I've ever read on FR has ever done. And the best part is that none of these remedies which work for me involve slandering other people, disparaging their character, organizing and plotting personal attacks on others en masse on thread, etc.

Life is simply too short to devote my entire life to what other people on the Internet say and think about me, or to turn it into some sort of crusade. I say what I have to say, and people can take it at face value, ignore it, or think that I'm an idiot. Any of those options are just fine by me, but I will still say what I have to say.

Chad, I appreciate that you tried to reason with people, but it's honestly not worth your time and energy. If people are determined to hate those they don't know, there's little you can do to get them to let it go.

As you probably know, I do not come on those threads, because I could never possibly hold up any side of those discussion, as I am not as knowledgeable as you all are.

I wouldn't dream of picking a side in this argument, as you and AG are two here that have always been interesting for me to read, and you have both been kind to me in the past when I was at the lowest point in my life.
