"TOM McSELFISH = Gov. BustaMENCHA"

NEVER FORGET

.."TOM McSELFISH =

...Gov. BustaMENCHA"

........was THE Sign to behold at this weekend's California Republican Convention held in Playa Del Rey next to the Los Angeles International Airport. So I did.

...No Convention Endorsement came for California Governor, but a posted Convention Straw Poll showed ARNOLD with nearly ..80%.. of the votes verses a little over ..18%.. for TOM McCLINTOCK.

...No one backed down this weekend, though it was hoped one Candidate for California Governor would, with Recall Election Financier Congressman ISSA watching it all unfold right before his very eyes.

Signed:.."ALOHA RONNIE" Guyer / Republican Convention Witness

NEVER FORGET

How insulting? I most certainly am old enough to remember. Who did you vote for in the Primaries if not Reagan?

Are you insiunating that a Republican can win in California without Democratic votes? Check the registration numbers there buddy.

In reality, it usually isn't spelled so directly offensively. My own misspelling "Schwartzenegger" is a common misspelling (18,000 hits on Google) and I thank you for the correction.

Here are my questions:

Why is supporting Arnold any different from supporting the policies championed by Olympia Snowe, J. Jeffords, Chaffee, and that lot of Republicans who more consistently vote in favor of Democrat policies?

What do you hope to gain other than an (R) behind the name of the man enacting the latest liberal policies?

I'm voting Schwarzenegger because he's the best man for the job. I don't want you to support him. I want you to find a mountaintop. You are purposely seeking disruption.

Nope, we've compromised enough, now we are evolving past your feeble attempts at zealotry.

Grunt, well said. This person (and exmarine) are both zealots in their own way who would rather hand the state (and their country) to the enemy than support another candidate within their own party.

This "my way or the highway" attitude and "your candidate is evil" crap is really getting old.

It is not the good McClintock supporters doing this, it is the whackjob zealots and disruptors who desire to embarrass everyone on this board.

I hope he takes it away. Rumors get started very easily, and I would be devastated if my own faulty memory cause you any harm.

Insults from you to me available at post #682.

I voted for Reagan in the primaries. I compromised, I had not yet realized exactly how foully liberal Republicans have been treating conservative candidates, conservative issues, and conservative voters.

For 20 years I watched liberal Republicans sabotage any efforts that would work toward changing the momentum of this nation's race toward the abyss.

I'm going to tell you flat out that a Republican can win in California without Democratic votes.

First, Republican turnout is traditionally higher than Democratic turnout in most elections. This is understandable because many voters become Democrat fraudulently or carelessly. Motor Votor, MTV, and Get Out the Vote register millions of Democrats who never vote.

Second, when there is a conservative on the ballot, the voter turnout for conservative Republicans skyrockets to a challenge Democrats find hard to combat.

Third, turnout for Democrats dramatically drops off when their own man in office and on the ballots is quite clearly corrupt and/or traitorous.

If liberal Republicans weren't so abhorrent of conservative ideals, California would already be in the hands of Simon.

You're not going to elect Bustamante, so you're trying to drum up support for Bustamante-lite.

Your efforts are very clear to conservatives.

It is unfortunate that you haven't anything beyond pure superficiality to offer conservatives to persuade them to vote for Schwarzenegger.

They bot remind me of a kid on our local high school football team. He wanted to play quarterback but he was not going to be the starter.

So what did he do???

He switched to another high school.....and he is playing second string safety!

What, that's better?

The same with people like Maelstrom and Exmarine. Let 'em go somewhere else.

Which falls back to a more serious argument yet to be defended.

The logic you've used here would imply your support for Clinton, if only he were a Republican. You need to explain why this is not the case.

I am a conservative.

We stand and fight liberals as you've now cast yourself when nobody else will.

Our fight is the reason that there *is* a recall election in California.

Where the heck do you get that? Your logic is so ill-defined it is pathetic.

Nothing I said even insinuates that.

I guess if you can't win, you try to dazzle them with b*llsh*t!

Let 'em go somewhere else.m

The onliest thing that keeps me from agreeing with you 100% is that there is a very good chance they are disruptors, seeking to hurry the exclusion of the religious right. The zealot fanaticals will exhaust themselves, soon.

So now since I do not support YOUR candidate.....then I MUST be a Clinton voter.

How horribly pathetic. You continue to make your positions weaker and weaker. Drawing such wide conclusions...with, by the way, no LOGIC whatsoever.

You simply stated that a real conservative on the ballot would win. He is NOT. Where does that leave YOUR logic? MMMMMMMM?
