"TOM McSELFISH = Gov. BustaMENCHA"

NEVER FORGET

.."TOM McSELFISH =

...Gov. BustaMENCHA"

........was THE Sign to behold at this weekend's California Republican Convention held in Playa Del Rey next to the Los Angeles International Airport. So I did.

...No Convention Endorsement came for California Governor, but a posted Convention Straw Poll showed ARNOLD with nearly ..80%.. of the votes verses a little over ..18%.. for TOM McCLINTOCK.

...No one backed down this weekend, though it was hoped one Candidate for California Governor would, with Recall Election Financier Congressman ISSA watching it all unfold right before his very eyes.

Signed:.."ALOHA RONNIE" Guyer / Republican Convention Witness

You are so wrong in your post, but I don't have the time right now to address THE MULTITUDES OF FALLACIES in it. Thank GOD President Bush doesn't think like you do or people you believe in do!! In fact, GOD FORBID!!

God allows man to make mistakes!! How LUDICROUS to think otherwise. It would be a tragic mistake to continue with the FAILED policies that CLinton was making with regard to TERRORISTS that brought us to 9-11.

I have so much information I could provide you with. Do you EVEN read ANY material regarding 9-11?

How I wish I had more time this evening.

It would be SO EASY to debate you. I could do it with ONE hand tied behind my back. I would say TWO, but I need at least ONE to type with!!

MORE LATER!!!

But I will leave you with this!!

WHAT A SANCTIMONIOUS TWIT!!!!!!

Whoa there! When did I defend Arnold's past in any way??

I am disgusted by his past, and I'm not one bit interested in finding out the details of it.....so thanks, but no thanks to your link.....

But there's one HUGE difference between Arnold and xlinton. Arnold (from all appearances at least) has reformed.....grown up.

xlinton is more debauched now that he was as a young man.

I didn't say anything about moderates.

It's not likely that anyone took a vote away from Clinton and voted for Perot. They all were taken away from the BEST man who was running.....George H. W. Bush.

It's a fact that there were many conservatives who voted for Perot......and the smart ones have since apologized for helping xlinton get elected....

All of our fates are connected in some way, I would absolutely agree. BTW we checked out SLO for our kid this past summer, as well as several other campuses. SLO was extremely impressive over almost all the alternatives we saw. As you may be aware, the entry standards are high and certain programs are "impacted". Things are tough all around in the state... good luck to your kid.

So is your kid going to SLO? Ours plans to apply for early consideration. Her SAT scores were pretty good at 1390 and she wants to try once more for a 1500. She's headed for valedictorian with her grades though it's neck and neck. They don't consider class rank anyway, just GPA, so she's safe there. She wants architecture and took a 3-week immersion program at USC this past summer, so I think her chances are pretty good.

Interesting, my only (and uninformed) impression of Hawaii is that it would seem to be the type of place where liberals might hang out and infest state elected offices. (Regardless of the military base presence there, it would seem.)

Ah yes, but our military presence (ourselves included) don't vote here because of high taxes. We vote in Texas, Florida, and Alaska if we've ever been stationed there. We plan on retiring here though, so we'll be in the voting pool soon enough. It is very liberal, but the relatively conservative populace despite their voting habits is beginning to smell the corruption emanating from 50 years of Democrat rule.

I wonder if a lot of this stuff would have been avoided simply by having some kind of primary arranged by party leaders early on to permit everyone the luxury of not having to attack each other with the verbal tomahawks. I don't know why it was not done at the time, perhaps it was not practical for some situational reason. Anyway, water over the bridge... back to the verbal slug-fest... sigh... ;-)

Don't think that would be legal the way the wording of the recall happens. Even if there were an unofficial one there wouldn't have been any provision to keep anyone else from jumping in. A lot of Republicans have written off California as hopeless, mostly because of the primary process. The CA Republicans seem to be in the same mold as Howard Dean supporters - throw themselves behind a candidate that won't appeal to the majority of independent voters.

He called YOU a "moral midget"!! For cryin' out loud! Just ignore him 68! Your one of the finest people on FR.

ex claims he is a Christian, but he or she calls more people names and says some of the most ignorant things regarding terrorists etc, that I've ever witnessed (such as only God can stop terrorist.. not this President).

So, I've decided to hit the "ignore" button regarding this particular poster. No sense wasting good energy.

I'm out of here for the evening.. FRegards, Vets

Well, I certainly wasn't trying to prove that you were capable of logical thinking, or following an obvious train of thought......

It's clearly not possible.

Try to follow this now.......the conservatives who voted for Perot took votes away from the best candidate. Whether or not GHW Bush could have been more conservative is NOT the issue (of COURSE he could).

The historical fact is that the votes for Perot were in reality votes for Clinton, and they hurt America.....

...BILL CLINTON was cunning enough to arrange for ROSS PEROT to run as a 3rd Party Candidate in 1996 & 1992 so that he could sqeak in twice with under 50% of the vote.

...Sama-same 4-California in 2003.

...LORETTA SANCHEZ (D) was even cut out of this Recall Race, just to make sure that there was just one Democrat standing at the end.

...Democrats KNEW better.
...Republicans MUST also.

No, not yet, but our kid has SLO as his first choice. His tests tend to be within range but his academic discipline tendencies will make the application process "interesting" to say the least. Sounds as if your kid is well positioned, though... good for her... As you must be well aware, the CSU tuition underwent a significant hike this semester, and I would imagine that more such hikes in the future may be imminent with the state budget implosion affecting higher ed along with everything else...

That's good. Whenever I'm in Honolulu (very infrequently) I like running on the beach. Strangely, it's very enjoyable for me. Gives me the welcome illusion that I am actually in decent physical shape ;-). I know I miss out on the "real" Hawaii but I think as a non-native there will always be stuff I will miss out on. I use Magnum PI reruns to give me the spoonfed sense of Hawaii, sorry, it's easier than moving there and less costly than an extended vacation, regardless of the distortions of TV... ;-)

Mostly right on, as far as I can tell. I wonder about that legality thing. It looks as if it did not prevent the Democrats from achieving some semblance of party unity. How did they, with their lower brain capabilities and all, manage to out-organize the superior-intellect-blessed Republicans? I get the impression that a purely informal bake-off would have worked just fine, somewhere somehow where Arnold, McC, and some of the other (R)s could have met and tossed ideas around on a level playing field without any formal voting occuring. IANAL though so I can't absolutely guarantee it would not be illegal...

And what I said stands. At the time of the 1996 presidential election, Bill Clinton was the most conservative electable candidate. Did he garner your support?

BTW, in 1996, Ross Perot got 8,085,403 votes. Bill Clinton beat Dole by 8,203,602 votes.

A BILL CLINTON who:

1) Supported our Terrorist Enemy HO CHI MINH against US and FREEDOM during the Vietnam War...

2) Married someone who did precisely the same thing during South Vietnam's Fight for FREEDOM...

3) Refused 3 Free Offers from the Sudan during the 1990's to bring our No. 1 Terrorist Enemy OSAMA bin LADEN to an America Jail & Trial that would have prevented the Attacks on US all on September 11, 2001...

4) Pushed real hard to turn our U.S. Long Beach Navy Base over to the Communist Chinese during the 1990's in exchange for the China Army Money flowing thru the Oval Office and HILLARY's Palms until we Citizen-Activists in Long Beach helped stop him from doing so in Congress...

...was NO Conservative, but merely an Enemy of the State.

My warning to a fellow Co-Worker about his voting for CLINTON to the Presidency in 1992 was...

...for him to watch CLINTON Launch Missiles as a TV Diversion when the American People finally found out what he was really all about and we had him cornered like the Rat that he really was. A Missile Launching which CLINTON did do when we had him cornered during his own Impeachment...!!!

Next came my...

.."CLINTON ain't Leaving"..

...Campaign on the Freerepublic.com, NYTimes.com, Newsmax.com Forums & on Talk Radio/TV Programs during his entire last year in office, which saw BILL CLINTON finally "Leave" in the end, when he really hadn't plan to.

The Enemy is now Within...
and always has been.

Now, I ask, WHERE's the ACCOUNTIBILITY for this Enemy of the State that is now pushing hard to get his Enemy of the State wife HILLARY back into our Oval Office to harm US some more, a move made so much easier with a Gov. BustaMECha controlling California in 2004..?

"But there's one HUGE difference between Arnold and xlinton. Arnold (from all appearances at least) has reformed.....grown up."

I wouldn't be so sure of that. I've looked, and I haven't been able to find any quotes from him that are express regret over his past activities. And, I've read recent quotes from him about women that were just awful.

In all I've ever read about Bill Clinton, I don't recall any account of a gang-bang. Arnold's activities (that he's described in his own words) are seemingly even more perverse than Bill's.

Well, sorry Artist, but I've got better things to do than to argue with you about who is more perverse (xlinton's perversion is more than I care to think about, all by itself)....... but do carry on, if that's what floats your boat.....

And good luck out there. If you ever get sick of living in a state with a bit too much perversion for ANYBODY's good, you could always move to the Midwest.

We have a higher percentage of normal people here......

...disobey my Savior...

I am curious as to how and where you got these orders from your Savior. Was it during a special session with him? I do not remember anything in the Bible where Jesus said "thou shalt not vote for anyone less than 100% Pro-life." Just curious.

BTW: Please do not interpret by question as an implication that I am not Pro-life. Some of us can make decisions about these things without the help of a diety.

There's less than nothing providing a reason for you to post, however...as you've now admitted you aren't even debating...nor interested in debating.

You err...

The votes Perot earned were from conservatives.

I believe without Perot to vote for, most would have stayed home.

Bush STILL wouldn't get the votes, and you wouldn't have a whipping boy without Perot.

What...you think that simply because conservatives don't have a conservative candidate they're going to vote for a liberal Republican????

We aren't blind followers. It's time the Republican party woke up to that
hard
cold
fact.
