I am not a nervous nellie! I am one pissed off Republican! The first G. Bush betrayed us all and this one has stated he will too. My Constitutional rights DESERVE to be protected by the jerk I have supported and helped get elected.</p?

I have NEVER, EVER even criticized Bush for anything else. I have been wildly enthusiastic about him. But playing politics with the constitution does NOT qualify for a President who promised to "Preserve and protect"

The "I'll-never-vote-for-Bush-again" clowns never quite get it, do they?

This has clearly been the plan all along.
A Bush "spokeman" quietly says that Bush will go along with the extension if Congress presents it to him (thereby taking away a Democrat sucker-mom issue), and then DeLay and the House Republicans kill the extension anyway, so it never even gets presented to Bush.

Everybody wins except for the scumbag Democrats.
Beautiful.

Yeah, probably right. The assault weapon ban, as it is currently written, will not pass.

The one which the GOP will pass will be much, much worse.

Republicans used to promise they would cut wasteful spending, eliminate useless government bureaucracies like the Dept of Commerce, Dept. of Education. Then they promised to reduce regulations and eliminate wasteful government subsidies. Until they were elected majority that is.

Then they turned around and started voting for huge increases in funding for farm subsidies, Dept. of Education, NEA. Federal spending is up 22 percent these last two years and growing.

Yeah, I believe a Republican when he promises something. They have such a good record of keeping their campaign promises.

Is Delay willing to put his future on the line over this assurance? I seriously doubt it. That would mean he had some something to lose, unlike us who have everything to lose......

Only time will tell if our representatives actually represent us or if they prefer to see themselves as our masters. Either way, we'll know soon.

I've been hammering the hell our of the whitehouse and my congress critters and plan to keep it up daily until this piece of garbage is ended. I ask others to do the same, it takes only minutes to unleash a barrage of emails. Snail mail takes longer, but I'm doing that too.
